yes indeed. your build is both an inspiration AND a challenge. I have a Doopys kit that has been sitting here for most of the year, and I will get on that after Dragon*Con...

Thanks
Is that because the letters are too large??...I used the smallest drill I have for my Dremel....I will consider redoing it..any suggestions as to how to do it best?
Yes. fill and sand the surface. Then go to a craft store and buy a small metal stamping kit of the alphabet similar to THIS. Heat the metal dies you need ("O" and "F") and press/stamp them in to the resin surface. You can also use a scribing tool to scribe the letters in but it will not be as accurate.
EDIT: Aaaaand that is why you read all the way through before posting! HAH! You figured out my suggestion before I could say it! Great job!

My ONLY criticism is the lettering on the end of the Magazine...other than that, OUTSTANDING job!

And PM replied! I also make the Scope rails and counter brackets for the E-11 Blasters as well as the TD clips for your armor if you should need them!

In addition to the metal cutting disks, the metal grinding disks also help IMMENSELY. I would also say, at the LOW price and with the lessons you have learned, you could buy another leg from Ikea and start again.
All that aside, I would say you are doing an absolutely amazing job and I am very impressed with your ingenuity. I am running out to Ikea this afternoon and picking up a couple of those legs for my DVH!

The biggest flurry of activity on FISD lately has been all the new NE builds. NE armor is the latest generation from the former maker of AM. While the origins of this new armor are totally unclear, we cannot deny that more and more troopers are buying this armor because its more readily available than other popular kits. I would like to make a formal plea for someone to compare the NE armor's size to a known kit. The two questions on my mind are a) Is this armor made for the bigger trooper Is the three piece construction helmet possibly made for larger craniums. Please do not spend your energy on postulating wether or not the armor has been recast. I am only interested in relative size. If any of you who own ATA, TM, TE2 etc armor and know of a garrisonmate with NE, I am offering a special FISD prize to the first person to post high quality comparison photos of armor and helmet with a table of measurements.
I will actually have side by side photos of my NE with an RS by next week!

I like the lycra gloves as they seem to wick sweat better IMHO.

I am wondering what people use for these. So far I have found these but you can't buy any less than 9 at a time. ---------
Do NOT use cotton cloves. Your hands will be full prune inside ten minutes. Trust me, I did it. Not fun.

Try these. I used them and they were great.

I have NEVER heard that, or experienced that with E6000. that happens with the ABS cement that sometimes comes with the kits...

I am SO on board with this. I am not an electronics geek but anything I can do, with mechanical functioning and fabrication, I would love to lend a hand...

Nice work!

I am hand painting mine. I may try making some vinyl decals later...

Didn't I hear that the new FX (NE "No Excuses") armor is recasted RS Props??
No. NE is very accurate and as such will get comparisons, but it is larger in overall scale and could not have been recast. If it was recast then why did the go with the three piece helmet again? The length and size of the legs and arms, chest and back make it clear. I have observed them side by side and it is in no way a recast.

Didn't you hear? AA is already hard at work designing, sculpting and vacuum forming everything. He has it covered!
