  1. Great job, congrats on your EIB Charles
  2. No problem Sergiu, glad to be of help. I heard of that guy also bad news and hopefully no one will get caught out like that again. My friend sized them for me and just printed them out on photo paper ready to cut out and fix behind the glass.
  3. Thanks for the great feedback guys Sergiu, I used a decal that a friend sent me and covered it with a glass Cabochon 22mm for the rear and a 8mm for the front a link below for you: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Pieces-Clear-Glass-Cabochons-Pendant-Cover-/200658968077?pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL&var=&hash=item2eb834de0d
  4. As promised guys here is a link to my Hengstler counter mod that I did, enjoy http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20982
  5. Hi guys after being granted Centurion, a couple of you troopers asked how I did the mod on my counter so I thought I would post up the thread I did on the UKG forums for all to see here. During the build of my resin blaster I wanted to pimp up the Hengstler counter a bit by adding the numbers on the rear and using my TK Id 6727. I know the sticker route would have been easy but I wanted to do things a little different and below is how I got on. I started with some leftover ABS, made a template from looking at pictures and made a rear plate and reset switch: Next was to get rid of the moulding on the resin counter, mark and hollow out ready for the numbers to fit in: While waiting for some parts to turn up I painted the counter up in matt black and added a thin plastic window to the plate and also drilled out the moulded screws and added brass ones: The parts that I was waiting for turned up (had them shipped from China as im a bit of a tight wad and saved a few pounds) only downside was shipping time. As you will see I didnt need many parts from the items I bought and pretty much butchered it all to acheive what I wanted, I took the bits needed glued them together to get the right number then cut and sanded till I got the shape I needed to fit the counter: All that was needed then was to glue the plate onto the counter over the numbers: So this is how it has turned out, just needs a little filling around the edges and touch up on the matt black and slight weathering then its ready to attach to the bracket on the blaster: And how it looks on the finished blaster: Im sure this mod has been done before, but I hope you like my take on it thanks for looking guys
  6. Thanks Rob, and thats exactley what were here for I have been helping Phil the moment he stepped on the boards and am in contact with him most days trying to keep him on the straight and narrow and stopping the costley mistakes many of us have made in the past. Who would have thought that just over 2 years ago I was a complete novice needing help and now I am able to help someone achieve their dream thats all thanks to you guys helping me
  7. Hi Phil, thought you were getting on ok with the blaster, if your having problems or havnt got the time to build it give me a shout. Send me some pics of it and I will see how it looks so far, im sure we can do something to sort it. I am prepared to build or finish it for you as long as its still in a repairable state.
  8. Congrats on your EIB Neil, welcome to the ranks, great job
  9. Thanks for your comments Jason, it was a little more than engraving the counter I put up a tutorial on the UKG forums on how I did it so when I get a chance I will put it up on the FISD

  11. Congrats Keith, and a great job Welcome to ranks. Just one thing you seam to have the same number [54] as myself, I think you should be [55] hopefully Mathias will rectify.
  12. Great job, looks awesome, congrats trooper
  13. Hi James, im afraid once you start to mix and match different armours you will find that this will happen, I had the exact same problem with my old FX armour trying to make it a bit more accurate I bought new shoulder bells and biceps that were a brilliant white against the blue-ish white of the FX armour. Although this was a niggle in my mind I still used them as most people didnt really notice the difference. The options you have here are : 1: Try and replace them with the original armour in your case AP 2: Take a piece of your armour to a spray shop and try and get a colour match paint spray and repaint your spare bells. 3: If the spare bells are for priviate troops (ie without the decal) keep them for that as most people will not notice the colour difference. Hope this helps Darren
  14. Thanks for all of the great comments everyone, I feel very proud to have acheived this and never thought I would get this far just over 2 years ago when I bought my first set of armour, I really got bitten by the TK bug and love every minute of it when wearing my armour

  24. Hi Neil, in my opinion its a no no keep away from this armour there is much better out there, I will send you a pm with some info on my armour. After looking at the pics of the armour it looks as others have said a recast FX and the lid looks similar to my old one which is a one piece fibreglass lid. I also noticed on the pics that there looks to be rivets where there should'nt be, top and bottom on front of shins and thighs and also on the ends of the belt. The blaster also dont look right and would need work if not a complete rebuild. Hope this helps mate.
