I've been looking for the 'right' wires too. These fit the bill for me.
I found one of these shaver leads (you can get 'em on the bay of fleas for a $/ or two):
One cable should be enough to do four blasters.
Took six loops and tore the double cable apart; voilbr />
Great way to get the wires- thanks for sharing!
I dont think the wires are required for EIB, put I am probably going to try to add them anyways.

I have been carrying out some armour mods so I thought I would update my thread..
I have added hooks to the back of my shins to keep them closed.
Thanks for sharing this great idea! I am going to incorporate it into my current build, but now I am torn between white and black elastic. I can see how black could help hide things...

Good thread- short and sweet without many different options. And now I know how to attach my sniper plate!

I dont know anything about rivets. I bought 3/16 pop rivets. I saw another thread which recommended split rivets. Does it matter?

My ATA extra ABS is too thick for my snap to close securely over it. Any suggestions?

See the screen grabs and pix from the LFL archive of original TK armor:
This pic is super helpful- thanks!

if you closely look at the arms on screenshots you will see no returns on the biceps or forearms where they touch the inside of the arm.
but at the elbow there is a 1/4" or larger return on the top of the bicep near the shoulder. and the forearm has a return at the end of the elbow
on the outside.
I'd like to clarify this please-- are you saying the bicep has a return edge both at the elbow and at the top near the shoulder on the outside, but no return edge at the top or bottom on the inside?

I can answer the first one. This is from Gazmosis' build When you ask for two right biceps it'll look like this (minus the thumbprint mod):
This is what you get when you don't order it that way. this is from my brown box pics (still a WIP):
The lefts are curvier than the rights.
I am curious about the left and right biceps not matching. Is that more screen accurate?
I didn't know about this until after I already got my ATA box. Are there a lot of troopers out there with mismatching biceps?

Welcome neighbor, from a new Golden Gate Garrison member.

I am getting my ATA armor soon. How is your build going? Any advice so far?

My ATA armor is being made right now... I cant wait to get it and start the build, although I am nervous about building the helmet. It's good to know what to expect though.

I think I've eventually convinced her after a few years of marriage that I ain't changing ever from my geek ways. So she's sort of given up (more like realized that I am genuinely happy revelling in my hobbies). She didn't even blink an eye when I was playing SWTOR in my Sith robe (profile pic)....
Playing SWTOR in your robe, that's awesome! I am finishing my Acolyte robe today... I don't have the game yet but I will definitely put the robe on when I finally get it.

I used to say "you don't want to know" when brown boxes showed up, now I show her everything until she's sick of hearing about it.
I've been getting a lot of parts recently and i am showing her all the things I am really excited about until she rolls her eyes and doesn't want to talk anymore.

I tried to access the page on TK standards but was told I didn't have permission...

I was curious about the same question.
Ok- now lets see if someone gets back to us!

What does everyone think about the gloves on trooperbay?
-
The armor looks great. I emailed you to get on the list...
Can anyone tell me what I will still need? (lenses, gloves, etc.) Thanks!
-
Can anyone tell me how tall the ATA helmet is when you measure it along the side? My current helmet seems pretty small and it doesn't cover a lot of my neck.

depending on the adhesive used on the thighs you may be able to pull them apart, narrow them down, and reglue them.
My power pack is also glued on too high. It was glued using E6000 adhesive. Does anyone know if that adhesive is easy to remove? I dont want to mess up my lower thigh piece.

Yeah, it's good to double check the CRL before buying anything. Sometimes seller claims aren't accurate or are misleading.

I have a cotton body suit and also have underarmor. I prefer the underarmor because it keeps me cooler- I have never been cold in my armor.

I am pretty nervous about cutting my chest armor so that I can sit down. So far, I have just been committed to standing the entire time...

Thanks for your service to our country!
Good luck with your armor- it's really exciting (tho sometimes stressful) to build!

I can't help you with the Heavy Trooper, but I saw you were also from Cali so I wanted to say hi.
