  1. Thanks for all the advice.
  2. That is another way to raise money for charity. I can have another sign that says "For Advertising in this space. Please contact.....".
  3. I quickly looked at the drop boxes this morning, but mine looked kind of narrow. I am going to look at them in more detail later tonight. Good point on the feeling around with the gloves. I did not think about that. Thanks, Gerrit
  4. I enjoy the looks I get when I hand out my trading cards to the kids. When my wife is squiring she usually takes care of holding the cards for me. Some events she cannot make it and I do not what to overwhelm the other squires taking pictures and helping out other people. I was thinking of getting a small clip on pouch in white or black that I can put on my belt. However, I have not been able to find any online during my lunch break. Does anyone have any leads on one? Later tonight I will look some more and will be putting on the up half of my TK to see if I can hide something behind the armor that is in place I can easily reach for. Thanks, Gerrit
  5. With the summer now here I am noticing a lot of mositure build up on the inside of the armor. I already use the Novus polish for the outside of the armor. For cleaning the inside can you use clorox wipes, lysol, fabreeze, filterd water or any other product to clean the inside of the armor with out damaging it? Thanks, Gerrit
  6. I took my time and it took me about 3 months to get everything the way I wanted it.
  7. I wear RT-MOD armor, I am 5'11" 215 LBS and I work out a lot. I love the armor and Rob was great to work with it. Plus the helmet came assembeled and ready to wear. All I added was fans to the inside. My build link: http://www.whitearmo...showtopic=18247 -Gerrit
  8. I bought the RT-MOD armor and here are my dimensions Calves - 17 - No cutting and has a little wiggle room when fully velcroed Thighs - 24 1\2 - I had to cut 1\2 to an inch off to get a better fit Biceps - 15 Forearms - 13 - No cutting and I use velcro to close them Here is what RT-MOD originally sent me when I inquired, but this is from Oct 2011 so he may have changed things. Suit comes with fully assembled helmet - ready to wear. -Made from .090 ABS -All plastic components are cut, trimmed and ready for assembly. -The suit will fit an individual up to 6"3", 220lbs depending on weight distribution. -Key measurements are as follows: (....shims would be required beyond these.) -Calves - 17" -Thighs - 26" -Waist - 40" -Forearm - 13.5" -Bicep - 16" -Helmet – 24†-Remaining components are not size critical Link to my build thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18247 Unless they can make the armor pieces bigger you may have to shim them. I am going to have to do more deadlifts and squats if I am ever to catch up with your thighs
  9. They do not touch from what I can feel and see. Here is a photo of the side of my suit. I have to change out the side strap to make it snug. When I put on the belt it flares the top part of the kidney plate out a little. -Gerrit
  10. Thanks. I jsut have to find sticker white duct tape to keep the wires down. Sorry to say I do not know where the foam came from. The helemt came assenbled from RT-MOD.
  11. Here is what my setup looks like. ----------
  12. Yes. I will post some photos tomorrow night when I get home.
  13. I had the same issue. I took the wire off the mic and mounted it with velcro inside the helmet. I added a coupler between the mic wire and the wire that runs to my system, that is attached to the inside of the chest armor, so it is easier to detach when I want to take my helmet off.
  14. Yes, ROTJ suit. Thanks for the info. -Gerrit
  15. That was the plan, but I am broad guy. So if I cut them, they will not reach front to back on me. Hence having to buy new ones. -Gerrit
  16. I have them, but the ones I am using are not 100% fully ribbed. They have the flat ends on them and I want to replace thm with more accurate ones. -Gerrit
  17. I thought I had read it somewhere, but I could no longer find the post. Where can you buy the fully ribbed shoulder straps? Thanks, Gerrit
  18. I read a lot. I copied pictures from all the other build threads and made a word document of just reference photos. Also, I purchased odd and ends, made an Excel spreadsheet list of items and eventually stared at the wall waiting at my work table

  20. There were some links to polls in the April newsletter. When I click on them they bring me to a page that says "Sorry, we couldn't find that! You do not have permission to view this topic". Am I doing something worng? Thanks, Gerrit
  21. I love my ROTJ suit, if I had to do another suit I am not sure what character I would do. You get use to being called nuts. My family already thought I was nuts based on Halloween and other things I have done. So the Stromtrooper suit was not a big surprise for them. I showed up at my inlaws house at 10 PM one night dressed as my TK to test the suit out. My Father inlaw answered the door and in about 2 seconds deduced it was his son in law and quickly yelled to my mother inlaw that someone was at the door for her. She jumped, I got yelled out and she did not have the droids I was looking for. Also, when testing out your finished suit make sure what is going on around you. I decided to march outside around the house to give the suit a good breakin and the neigbor was throwing a party for there son. It turned into my first test of the suit in a photo shoot with kids. Now the neighbors think I am bit odd
  22. Happy Easter Everyone!
  23. I purchased mine from-------------- as well. Buy extra. After three months of building I lost a good amount from them slipping out of my hand and crashing into another manget or metal opject. After a few times of that they shatter. -Gerrit
  24. Good news. As of this evening I am officially TK-7186 -Gerrit
