1. So I'm using my phone and my pics wouldn't load due to there size, so I had to try minimise them by compressing their image with 2 fingers them taking a screen shot with 2 others the results arnt great but you get the idea,
2. So I've had the armour half finished in a box for 4 years, I've been going the screen accurate attachment method all the way, as Im q prop collector not a costumer, well Thursday got a call that there was need for trooper in a film shoot ( nothing Star Wars related) I should also point out I work in the Tv and Film industry) and the director knowing I make S.w prop replicas and may have had Stormtrooper armor called me telling me that one of the troopers couldn't make it and could I come in,
So I said yeah sure no worries, then spent the next 12 hours finishing the set up, luckily is ordered an under suit a week earlier which I had got in theail that Tuesday a nice very accurate looking set of black cotton long johns, so I and my girlfriend were up till 2am finishing the suit,
As I kept the PP (khaki colour) in its unpainted state it was lucky that I already had an older RS helmet from there first run #22, I think which, I had painted and decided to leave the stripes off, after it is screen accurate, Mr No stripes!
I also got a bunch of the Comlink body parts from the same maker as the originals comlink and blaster parts, also from the same molds!! Doesn't get any better than that so I've added a comlink to my display

P
3. Stellar job Verne, I really like the way it turned out
4. Nice score Lee, I bet your mate is kicking him self that he didnt study a few more screen grabs before passing the Hamil blaster off to you,
5. Definantly a standard look at the interior pics
6. So it seems that its not officially IDed yet, but by the looks is the inner part of the Hovi tips, Thanks for the pics and threads
7. Im about to add the clear plastic inserts to the scope, seems on the pics of the original that the smooth side of the plastic is actually facing in to the scope , were as it seems all replicas ive seen seem to have the smooth side out, Iyt seems logical that the smooth side would be the exposed side, but is this actually the case, we all know that logic doesnt come in to prop making
8. Ive been trying to find good screen captures of the TK com-link, also looking through old threads, and Im yet to find any info on the back end (non hovi end) and I was wondering if ther is a possibility that side was actually made with the interior of the hovi tips, as we all know the are made up of 3 peices, , outer shell inner nipple and end capping, is ther any chance that the back end is the nipple and the end capping , or just the nipple, , or if it is a known found part then what is it? Any hwlp would be great Ive a few pics, were the piece is visible but only slightly and it seems a good match
9. Very true, I recall a time when they all looked the same to me, the FX's were considered good enough, and yeah why pay a few hundo when you can get the same thing for under 80 bucks and made in fiberglass, it must be good, but then you start to study them and see them for what they are, thats why the only 2 tk makers Ive baught from are CFO(the JoeR) and RS,,
10. Looks like a recasts of a recast of a Cucblack , or RT MOD 2? tk helmet that used to sell years ago which was a recast of a recast of a recast of a SfS , Ugly as sin bad deail , cant people tell how bad these are? So many beter options out there
11. Really like these , are you going to udercoat yours before the black, it seems as the Pugman was just straight satin black enamel over the resin
12. Well after close inspection on a real set of RS armor and looking at the pics of the ebay stuff , I think I was wrong in my asumption , Ill admit on closser inspection with the real artical (rs armour) in hand that it does seem there are just to many details and lumps and worbles that can not be added to a replica by looking at pics, so yes iwas wrong it really seems to be recast RS, some who cant or donmt want to drop the $s on the real stuf may be tempted, RS is worth the money Also sorry for being argumentitive i just couldnt see this guy laying out the cash for a set of RS ,
13. Mabey your right , but he must have been the first person to get RS armour, because he sold this stuff beforethe were selling them openly, , As for to many tells if some one has a bit of tallent they can redue the button plates and move the the cod piece line over a cm or so, and flair out the ab plate abit, so it is feasbly possible then it can be done, FULLSTOP!!! (Ive pulled a few pics of his old armour, cant postmbut if you look through his history you can see his slow progression to what he sells, do the leg work an youl agree) As for debating the wright and wrongs well Im not getting in to that as weve all read more than enough of that guff I for one tyre of this, I dont suport or purchase any thing but 1st class makers,
14. LOL How do you get that I am defending him I think you are reading my post very wrong, that may be because of the language barrier, no I clearly said his is TE recast that is not first gen that is still recast and not on, all I said was its def not RS he has changed his molds to look like RS , and I dont see how me saying that is defending him at all, even though some think its ok to sell recast armour if its from the TE line I personally think it is not , Ive seen this guy sell his stuff on Ebay for years and he tweeks it every time a new detail is released to the fandom, and its progress has been on going that is waht I was implying , And as for me being banned on 1 forum, not forums plural (I deactivated my acount on others for reasons I need not go in to here) for not delivering I have sold at least 50 helmets, more pehaps, to many happy customers Ive had 1 helmet go astray in the post Im sure many sellers who sold as much as I did have had it happened , So no I dont suport recasters in fact quite the oposit the only trooper makers ill buy from are CFO and RS, cos most others (a few not included of cause) are recast TE armour which seems to be ok as long as the guy is a good guy, and a trusted member, on that point what makers pieces do you have MM, So if you read my post correctly I wasnt saying any thing in the sellers favour at all just that its clearly not RS recast but moded TE recast, still a recast
15. How do you figure? I made that statement on the fact that I couldnt see this guy laying down $1200 on an RS suit to recast when he has a suit that with a few tweeks he can pass for ANH, after all he was selling them long before RS suits came availble and always said he has taken them from an ANH suit, And for the record I dont buy anything that isnt legit first gen casting or actuall original molds or molds from originals What are you trying to imply
