  1. Kevin - Check here on Additional Notes. "Additional Notes" - Effective July 19, 2013" http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CharacterApproval
  2. Just the sponge that came with or something similar to this.
  3. Scuff it naturally after trooping as a Expert Infantry. You'll get more then you need.
  4. Nice job so far. I used the same paints and this is my results. I would suggest to use a sponge instead of a paint brush. Use the sponge as a dabber not like a brush.
  5. I had the chance to finally paint up my tube stripes. I was never happy of the humbrol 14, or the french blue colors suggested. So I tried to match the LFL archives helmet. I used the #28012 Chrysler Engine Blue. To me it looks more naturally looking and it also matches the Luke's hero helmet color. One thing that it does not match is that the tubes are flat not glossy. So I sanded them down a bit to give it a more dull look to it. One thing to consider is that the LFL lights seem cold and mine are warmer. Share your thoughts.
  6. Looks good. Did you actually use the canvas material? From the pictures that I have seen from the RS guys, the material looks a lot like a twill material. That's what I used when constructed belt. Here's a pic of mine.
  7. I also have an extra plastic belt and cloth belt to just switch over and just snap it from the ab piece.
  8. Thanks guys. Locitus - I was considering that method. It does look great This method here is also removable. That way I could switch back and forth with my SR-15 holster.
  9. Couple of more pics with belt attached.
  10. Thanks guys. Finally got around to build my holster. Sorry for so many pics.
  11. looks nice. I didnt trim the top of the thighs. Only the bottom of the shins. I also have the codpiece/ab piece section a little higher then normal. That is why my belt is a bit lower too like yours. I wanted to have that even look to myself.
  12. You're actually taller then me. I'm 5'6" at 175 lbs. I'm planning to get down to 160 lbs, then I'll take my final EIB photos.
  13. And this one. I just need to be 150 lbs and four inches taller. lol
  14. One of my favorite shots of this try out photo-shoot.
  15. Thanks guys. Great suggestion Bids. Yeah these shins are not made for a human beings. lol. I'm gonna ad some. I would like to glue them on the shin itself. I wonder if its ok before I apply for EIB?
  16. Trying on for adjustments. A few more things and I'm done. 1. Repaint helmet. 2. Make holsters. E-11 and SR 3. Waiting on my rubber handplates and gloves. This is the trooper that I modeled my self as. A few things of on my part that I left off, but that's due to my height and preference. You could view the rest of the pics in my trooper flickr page in my signature.
  17. Almost there. About 95% completed.
  18. Thanks Quixo! I learn that snap trick here. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20893-how-to-recess-press-studs/page__fromsearch__1
