  1. Which helmet are you talking about? Maybe the last I asked for? I've never told anyone to have a Gino (and infact I don't have any).
  2. I think some of TM helmets are a little fat, and match the Hero-Luke style better then generic Stunt. But not all of them. Infact, one of the last four helmets TM sold on this bay matched the "move along" style as never seen before to me. Imho of course.
  3. Yes, I did all I could do. But when you troop in hot, dry, wet, and cold weather the glue starts to go. By using normal velcro the hooking system is not to strong, so even if the glue is not tight anymore to the plastic you can keep on stressing the pieces further. But with IS velcro the hooking system is very strong and when you pull off the velcro you stress the glue. In any case, now I do not use velcro at all and we're OT.
  4. I would ask him, since he could loose this thread and never see this job. It is enaugh you tell him it is a TM armor assembled. I did the same with my Vader which is not all hand made by me.
  5. I'm Dale's costumer for several years. I bought from him my first FX armor and the chestbox, gloves and the cod-piece for my Vader costume when he still leaded Galaxy Trading shop, and now I got my TKboots. He had been one of the first TK (TK510) in the 501st, and always made great stuff for troopers and SW costuming fans. Kudos to him.
  6. I would like to put a point on this: I tried industrial velcro on my first armor and after I decided to use it no more. The reason is because the real problem, in my opinion, is not the hooking system but the glue between the velcro and the plastic. And the more the hooking system is good the more the chance to take away the velcro from the plastic is high, when you stress it to take off your pieces. By the way, about the armor: I don't know how international laws work, but you should have the possibility to return it if you're not satisfied.
  7. I think we could say this is the best ANH replica ever made. Will you sell the pics to Jez?
  8. I was thinking to sell it for 100€ assembled. Do you think is too much?
  9. Mmmmm... does AP make ROTJ style helmets? I didn't know that.
  10. I don't know what you mean for bump on the back of the cap or in the tear.
  11. Sincerly, I do not remember. I purchased this kit about six years ago for a very good price (today it would be a high price, but at that time only FX kits were easy to find at reasonable prices) and ebay does not show me the auction anymore since 90 days are passed. At that time there was only one known seller in Europe (Guidon Messika from Germany), so I'm pretty sure it comes from US. I've never assembled it because I got an AP soon after that purchase. Since now I need cash, I would like to assemble it and sell it on ebay, but I would like to know which kind of cast-off it is for the adv. Moreover, I don't like the ROTJ style too much. Anyway the helmet is a "grade 1" color and it's made of 0.90 thick ABS. Any clues about its possibile origins?
  12. What do you mean for "soft"? Undetailed? Or thin?
  13. Hello, Is there someone who could tell me which kind of helmet is this? (I know it's a recast, but I would like to know which type of helmet it has been casted off). ----------- Apologies for the light, I took these pics in the sunset without flash.
  14. I read much of the thread, perhaps I lost this part. It was not a judgment of course, only an advice. As I said, I envy you, with or without boots.
  15. Wonderful armor! I really envy you. But I'd change the boots with black painted into white ones to make the armor 100% accurate. It is a pity to see a 99% accurate job, isn't it?
  16. I see. In any case, we were only trying to give an help.
  17. Pardon, what does it mean? (sincerly, I do not understand and I'm curious). I've heard the term "ratholding" in the poker game, but I cannot understand the correlation with the discussion.
  18. When I purchased the armor I warried because of lacking of communication with the seller. After he apologized by saying he has a job which sometimes take him away from a computer. Finally all went fine.
  19. Always. I always answer emails through ebay for ebay auctions.
  20. This is all correct. But seeing seller feedbacks and direct experiences (like mine) I would be patient for a while. I would try to write again asking for the expedition number first.
  21. I sincerly regret to hear that. I just purchased other items by him and had no problems at all. But I know he has a job that sometimes takes him away from PC for days. Ask him for the number of expedition to track it (items sent by him are normally trackable).
  22. Infact Ainsworth made a big mistake, imho, by telling his armors are casted off original moulds when it is obvious they're not. If he would say "casted from the hand which made the originals" I think he would have a better credit and a better advertise. In any case, even if it is obvious the seller uses the SDS name to advertise as best as he can his FX kit, he doesn't say it is an SDS, but it has a SDS Look (it is not fully wrong, if it is said to dinstinguish this armor to a halloween costume). Or did I misunderstand? It could be, since I'm not english motherlanguage.
