  1. so the crl says for centurion does anyone have screenshots or a diagram that can better explain the placement of these rivets. Are these regular pop rivets, or are they the solid head rivets? Thanks Sean
  2. ok, so the crl says fo centurion you have to have a ROTJ thermal det, however, looking at some screen caps, it looks like the detonator is just white with no detail on the control panel. The thermal detonator control panel needs to have correct ROTJ details, not ANH/ESB. any thoughts on this?
  3. hahahahaha, totally awesome
  4. quick question guys, is this the right stuff for the neck trim?
  5. maybe just make one out of modeling clay
  6. Thanks mate! What does the ROTJ thermal det look like? how is it different from ANH? I'll eventually look into getting an accurate belt, just have to find the right material.
  7. maybe use an oil based blue? when I was an ANH TK I used humbrol french blue enamel (number 14?) for my blue buttons.
  8. try officeworks mate. they are very likely to have them
  9. thanks mate Black it is then
  10. the crl says this 09. Chest: * Chest plate overlaps the abdominal plate. * Flash detail is painted on the form of an inverted arrow, with two white areas on the base. * Moulded lip around the bottom of the chest plate must be present. * Chest and back should be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders. but I'm no 100% on whether it was actually white or not. Maybe one of the pro ROTJ guys could chime in and help me out
  11. Hi all, I have to redo the upper body strapping on my TKC and as it is based of ROTJ, what colour and what material is the strapping that is used underneath the shoulder bridges (connecting the chest and back piece) . I think white was used for ANH/ESB, but I have no idea for ROTJ. Any help wold be great
  12. hav eyou tried using ABS paste? i fyou use the same abs as your armour it colour matches perfectly and you can sand it down afterwards, like there was no crack at all.
  13. I'd be in for some Like to get some for my TKC
  14. Ok, have an update So I have a new backplate and shoulder bells thanks to MM. I have also hand painted all the details on my helmet (apart from tube stripes) as well as found some accurate screws for the ears. PHOTOS! let me know what you think
  15. so I managed to get ahold of some more accurate screws for my helmet, Also, I have some new accurate shoulder bells and an accurate back plate, so I should be posting some shots up of that soon :)May also try to see if I can get my chest piece shaped a bit more accurately, if I can borrow a mates chest armour I've shaped the bottom edge to be accurate, just want to see if I can mod the fx to have that more accurate shape overall. have one shoulder bell all weathered up already too photos at some stage soon
  16. it says this there for centurion though? sorry about the slight OT Your armour is looking great steve!
  17. Yeah, I don't think any rotj troopers had rivets on the kidney plate...i could be wrong though
  18. we have mouldman in our garrison, I believe he was actually the legions first approved.
  19. you can pick up the shade 3 welders visor from blackwoods The brand is black eagle. should cost about $19
  20. On my TKC, I sanded down my entire armour (including the paint) after I painted it first with 400 grit then with 1200 grit to give it a matte finish. I also made some deap scratches here and there with some 80 grit The weathering stuck to it very well and the paint got a good scratched effect in some areas that I decided to sand a bit. But I just used humbrol enamel with an airbrush to paint mine
  21. looking great mate,TFU troopers rock have you tried using tinsnips to trim your armour?
