  1. There is a thread on here about paint dimensions.... find the post by cobra, they are the measurements that I used for mine, and I'm really happy with them. Just paint up all the areas with no liquid masking or anything kuke that, just masking tape so you can get the lines right. Once you have it cleanly done with no battle damage, we can start weathering. Let me know once you have this done and then I'll guide you through the weathering process. Keep it up, it will look great
  2. Come on mate, you can do it! where are you at now? What do you need help with, I'm more than happy to help you out in any way I can.
  3. Nice my paint just naturally chipped from transport, etc. Hahaha
  4. I just rubbed mine off with some sandpaper. Looks really natural because it really was scratched off haha
  5. wow, that looks really nice. I like that blue For your shoulder bells, I have a strap connecting them to the biceps on the inside like this (this is not my armour, but I did it the same way)
  6. I use this method, but I used webbing instead of elastic.... hasn't broken yet, but when it does I'm moving right on to elastic
  7. ^^ What he said looking great mate, this is going to be a nice TKC
  8. I would love to get ahold of a ROTJ detonator for my TKC, I've beenlooking for one for a while actually
  9. IMHO I don't think a lightsaber is really necessary, as the only reason a TKC has one is because of a cheat. The actual TKC character has a blaster.
  10. Thanks mate, I used the grinding wheel attachment for the dremel and just cut around. Glad I managed to get it the right height. I'll have to suit up in the snowie and get some photos taken
  11. from the muzzle to the end of the d-ring thingy, is about 490mm. From the end of the butt to the end of the stock is about 490mm aswell
  12. alrighty folks, my blaster is done I ended up using the doopydoos stock as I failed really badly at bending the stock arms that I got off Lucas. Subtle weatherig was done using a dark iron coloured paint, drybrushed on. The blaster has a nice texture to it thanks to the hammered paint, I just couldn't get it to show up properly in my photos. The sticky up thingy on the front sight was just carved out of a wooden clothes peg and superglued on Here is how it is, Please let me know if there is anything I need to change
  13. any further word on the side rivets?
  14. These are the same dimensions I used too
  15. I would say just paint the raised part of the button... have a look at the centurion threads and also any screen caps or original armour reference... you should be able to get the size close from looking at that. When you are doing the scratches, use sandpaper to make them, or if you plan to use making fluid, at least scuff up the edges with sandpaper to make it look more natural and blend in better.
  16. Looking good mate, just one thing I can;t make out.... Do you have the ab button plates and are yet to glue them on? Your ab plate should look like this not without the plate (like a TD) as your looks from your photos. If you don't have the ab button plates, try sending one of the makers a PM, or ask one of your garrison's Sandys. They may have a spare set you can buy Also, it might be worth considering toning down the paint scratching too. It's just a little too much for my personal taste, but it's up to you. Maybe try painting over a majority of the white marks, and by adding in scratches going in diferent dirrections, just makes it look more natural "battle damage" rather than having the same direction which looks like you've been dragged along the ground behind a landspeeder As for your questions, 1. Not really sure what you mean here, sorry. 2. Jesse TK4702 makes awesome thermal det clips and kits. Just look for them in the For sale section. 3. Yep, humbrol #5 is the right colour for the thermal det tube. Any more questions just ask
  17. Ahhh, now where on earth would you get such a blaster? Does anybody do kits?
  18. looks good, the only thing I can see is your side rivets. Only two should be visible, the third one should be covered by the belt like this (borrowed from johnblackk's centurion thread)
  19. If the black had a TK on the background too it would look really awesome
