Ok, so after having seen quebec troopers hasbro build and a few others here,i have started on a build myself.I started out with a hasbro blaster,but i unfortunately ended up with a p.o.s pile in the end(grumble).SO....i salvaged a few small parts from it and decided to build a pvc instead.I used the front/rear sight guards,modified the scope a bit.Combined with the resin parts kit i aquired from Blastmaster(member here...Thanks Al . It's still a work in progress as i still have alot to do.The resin stock being meant for the hasbro,i am gonna add a gap filler of sorts to extend the stock connection.I still need to fabricate a trigger guard and trigger,plus the rail for the scope. I may forego the hasbro scope and get a proper one in the future,so i'm gonna attach the current one with a temporary means for now.I jumped in on this w/o taking construct pics,so i do apologize for that.If anyone has questions on my build i can pretty much describe it as a whole.It took me 2 days to get to this point using a simple cordless dremel,a can 'o' Bondo ,plastic for sale signs ,a big foot(size 10),a hard noggin,and inga...ingi...inja.......SMARTS!!...i hate big words.lol.

I usually access the various sites w/o the portals. This time around i cannot log into mepd due to Driver error???.

I have seen many examples done this way (FX face plate with TIE/X wing helm. But it just looks ugly, like it was built to fit Jay lenos and or Popeyes big chin,lol . As previously mentioned a TK face plate works/looks a thousand times better than fx.

LOL , kinda funny tho, I was getting a great start on my own hasbro blaster......then i goofed up on a superior level . Me Dremel got out of control and cut more than i expected.BUT.... i managed to save 2 of the small parts and am gonna build them onto the pvc with other parts obtained from a member here, plus transfer the electronics into the pipe with a smaller speaker.When i get my hands on the other resin parts i"ll start posting pics.Hasbro products and i don't get along too well,lol.

Hmm, cool. I have about 12 diferent cell phones lying around the house that are no longer used.I am super tempted to pull em apart now,lol.I know that 4 of em have the walkie talkie options, T-mobile i think ???.I was thinking i'd just replace the hasbro speakers.Those are kinda rinky dink and sound just..... blah.

Just curious, but has anyone ever tried using a speaker unit from a cell phone for their blaster or helmet?? . A friend of mine thought this up when he recieved a call from his Gf and his speaker was super loud and very clear . Any thoughts,comments,etc.

hey cool, progress. I was thinking on this great build myself(scary). I noticed the top being opened and thought,Hmmmm, plastic for sale signs cut in strips to close the open gaps. basically cut small narrow strips, glue them to the inside edges half sticking out to give a support edge, then glue/layer flat strips until they are near flush to the cut edges,then bondo/sand to give a smooth rounded appearance???. I myself am still sanding/removing the old t-track plus i made some cuts. I'm gonna use the for sale plastic signs i found in my garage this morning.I have enough plastic signs to make a ton of t track or gap fillers , so i got alot of work to do,lol.

Yooooo, not trying to scuff armor plates here, lol. just keepin alert to situations is all

I've read alot about this guy Gino on many a topic here. being a newby i have no beef with this guy,but i can understand why people are or are not fond of him as well,(i see both sides of the coin but stay neutral) . Aparently however he seems to have had a change of heart with apologies of sorts,so to speak as he is offering up new V2 helmet kits to the masses now , claiming he never offered anything to the members of the 501st,members of this or any other boards except close friends,etc out of fear of recasters. Seems he's trying to regain the trust of the people i guess, but who knows.I just thought i'd inform the group if anyone else has not seen his post on MEPD this morning.Think these intentions might be genuine ???.

Any updates on this project??

I was just thinking.But, how about those black plastic liner tubes used in golf club bags?? . I think they are a hair smaller than 1:25" ,also i think they are pretty thin and light compared to a pvc pipe.I have seen them at Kmart alot for 2 bucks each.

Now all someone needs to do is figure a way to convert it to have a pistol like grip to hold over the shoulder like the BF2 Clone Commander,lol.

I vote yea on the Hasbro idea,LOL.

Great work so far. I have a hasbro from the late 90's (Black version).I'm gonna watch this closely cause i just don't like its current looks. Gonna have to invest in the doopy's kit since a more local source no longer makes the parts kits.

Wow,very interesting start there,having never seen anyone remove the entire scope/top area before. Are you gonna re-install the lights and sound or just leave em out??.

Ugh, and to think i used to live near where he lived near Hazelton,Pa.He is a rip off artist, either you do or you don't get what ya paid for,IF that at all,considering the amount of complaints i seen on many a forum.
