  1. He can't be disturbed right now (because he's working on my, and other peoples, armor ) J/k, he must have missed your PMs, he's a busy man
  2. Nice, the 'goose metal net' is a good idea, I might give that a try
  3. Great armor. Looks awesome! May I ask, how did you make the 'full size doll'?
  4. I have one (not used, but treid it on), the quality is decent. It's also know as 'extreme racing' undersuit (use forum search), several people are happy with it because it seems to be comfortable in both hot and cold weather..
  5. Hi Tom, That must be: stormtrooperundersuit.com ?
  6. I got both the suit and the neckseal, the colors match
  7. I know, but that doesn't change the fact that it would be very convenient Plus, it must be possible
  8. Any new info on this yet? (Not to rush anyone )
  9. I've another issue with the low-fi version: it's not possible to read or send private messages :S
  10. Hehe Yeah that wire-hand seems a nice way to go. I guess filling the glove would be needed to give it a more realistic look.
  11. True, it will certainly mess up your shoes I'm curious about your mannequin, when are you going to show us?
  12. Part 1 Part 2
  13. True, but I think the rubber gloves might look a little 'cheapish' (not to offend anybody ofc!) on the display. I'll have to see what looks best
  14. I'm a few items closer to the complete costume, and since I'm waiting for the other items I have way to much time to kill. So here's my 'parts' list visualized ----------
  15. In case someone is wondering about this neck seal, I received it today, good quality, nicely finished. It fits the black color on the 'extreme racing' undersuits.
  16. O-M-G. That armor is more awesome then the word awesome!
  17. Hi there, The Low-Fi theme doesn't have a 'view recent posts'-button I'm browsing the forum with my iPhone a lot and the normal FISD theme is kinda heavy for mobile browsing. Any chance you guys can add this button to the low-fi theme? Thanks! Regards, Lennaert
  18. He ships the blaster in black. So I can weather it myself I did see some threads about people who build blasters but I don't think anyone is currently making them. Great, thanks for the info guys!
  19. Hi, I've been browsing for a (build or semi-build kit) E-11 ANH Blaster for the past 2 days but I can't seem to find anything other then this eBay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170446957554 The seller is predalien64. Is this a blaster that would look good on a display? Or should I keep looking? Thanks! PS: I know I should build one from scratch rather then buying one, but I'll be starting my first armor kit soon, so I figured I'll save some time on a complete blaster
  20. Haha, "You can't have a droid Phill", that's golden! Thanks for sharing
  21. Wow, that looks impressive, nice weathering! Great job!
  22. Like these?
  23. Thanks! I read some older neckseal-run topics, but I figured the one from eBay is a good deal, since it's only $25 (free shipping). It looks decent enough for a display (and for that kind of money) don't you think? I think the rubber gloves look kinda weird/cheapish on a display (not trying to offend anybody!). The nomex ones give it a more sturdy look. Funny thing: the nomex gloves here in The Netherlands are priced around 30 to 50 euro's ($40 - $70), even the crappy versions. So eBay is my only option Last year I got nomex gloves on eBay for around $10, not good for wearing (paintball), but they look allright.
  24. Hi, I'm looking for a pair of gloves and a decent neckseal. It's for a display so it doesn't need to withstand trooping or fit comfortable. It just needs to look good - 'Nomex' gloves from 'smallfeetz' (the black version ofc) - Cotton gloves from 'costumsprops' - Cotton neckseal also from 'customsprops' What do you guys think? Also, I need a belt (these don't come standard with kits don't they?), does anyone know what to use, or where to get a good belt? I couldn't find anything on eBay. Thanks! Regards, Lennaert
  25. After a long research weekend I finally made up my mind: My first armor is going to be a TM kit I'm on _the list_ for the kit and the wait starts today I'm really exited about all this! ------------ Regards, Lennaert
