  1. Looks great! Thanks for the pictures, I'm looking into the Doopydoos kit and your pictures perfectly show the details of the parts!
  2. I always get a little sad when seeing a helmet like that..
  3. Awesome, thanks Pablo! I was already using your lid as reference, but those lines are extremely helpfull I'll have another go at it!
  4. Hey Troopers, I'm trying to align the plates.. Any comments, advice or tips? I think it looks ok this way, but will the ears cover the gaps on the side? And what do you guys think about the brow, should it be lower? (The brow ends need to be aligned a bit better)
  5. Update on the face plate, what do you guys think? Are the eyes oke?
  6. Congrats Paul! And thank you! You _are_ the man!
  7. Thanks for the kind words Yeah, that scissor is a gift from heaven! One (maybe obvious) tip: (ALWAYS) mark the trim line with some masking tape and cut along side the tape. That way you'll get an idea of what the cut is going to look like before cutting it, and you'll always get a nice straight cut! Yes, that waiting list is pure pain (but it's worth it!)
  8. The tools I used so far: (Curved lexan scissor) And of course sandpaper (normal & fine) to give the trims a nice finish.
  9. First I cut off a large portion of excess material, until there is like 5 mm left to cut, then I take my time cutting it as straight as possible. I guess easy does it
  10. Got a nice metal brushed 4.5" x 10.5" plaque in the mail today: Should fit nicely in front of the display once it's ready
  11. Back to the armor. Trimmed some more off the handplates: Dropboxes: Ab button plates: I'm starting to get the hang of it
  12. Took some pictures of my blaster: It's not the most accurate blaster, I know, but it'll have to do for now (Blaster discussion thread: Resin E-11 ANH Blaster)
  13. I finished it: As stated above: It's wrong in many ways, but it's good enough for my TK display (for now ).
  14. Thanks! When I'm in doubt about something you'll be the first to know 5mm return edges, roger that!
  15. Stephen, I'd like to see your TM pictures, I'm gonna need reference pictures I've started with the handplates, remember it's the first thing I've trimmed I think they look alright. Or should I trim them some more (make them lower)?
  16. From request to delivery: almost 2 months. The longest wait was indeed the waiting list. Once it was my turn, it took about 10 days to get it shipped. But it was well worth the wait! Hell, this armor is worth waiting much longer if you ask me Hehe, now you mention it, I totally forgot about her nails (I guess nobody here is gonna blame me for that ) I explained it to her so she knows she won't be getting the usual amount of attention in the coming days
  17. Today, whilst I was at the office, my girlfriend stayed home to wait for a certain delivery. Around 11:00 (well beyond the regular delivery time) she figured she could go and get her nails done. Just at that point the tracking status changed to 'Out for delivery'! I called my girlfriend to notify here about the incoming package. "I'm not at home right now".. After a small black-out I asked her to get home asap and wait for the package. Of course, in the hour she was gone, there was a attempt to deliver. Leaving a ticket behind saying the next delivery would be after the weekend. Great, just GREAT! But I didn't leave it at that. No way, I'm not going to let a TK-suit come all the way to my front door just to have it taken away from me again! I started to mail & call the parcel service to find out where the nearest depot was. After getting in touch with their administration I managed to get the package from the depot at the end of the day! Yes, the force is strong in this one There it is! The. best. package. ever! So today ended very well! I got the TM armor and I can still love my girlfriend The rest of the TK accessories: So now it's time to start.. Somewhere This will be my build thread, so more pictures are on the way Greets, Lennaert
  18. The feet aren't removable but extremely bendable. If they can't bend that far I'll have to cut them off To make it wear gloves I have to cut the fingers loose from each other. The mannequin is filled with foam so that shouldn't be a problem. I got it at a big mannequin outlet store for €150. Got really lucky to find this adjustable one, because they told me that they usually don't have those! I'll get the jumpsuit, shoes and gloves tonight, hope everything fits
