Sorry to jack the thread slightly, but from what I've seen and read, should the FX thighs be trimmed into a cone shape? Like, smaller at the bottom than at the top, right?

Oddly enough, I knew a guy a couple years ago that sculpted the cap, back and ears of a TK and then cast a Rubies TIE for the face. it actually turned out looking really good.

Right. And notice how he's careful to say that he didn't make them, but they were given to him from a "student production".

Wow, that is looking really, really good, FX lid and all. I was really wanting to go sandy after ESB Elite, but ow the TXs are looking better to me. I'm spending next year's paychecks already, somebody stop me!

As much as I loathe being in construction, I'm really glad lately that I learned a trade to fall back on. the money isn't as good as an air-conditioned job, and the works really sucks...but job security and being able to wander in and out of the trade whenever my regular job goes away is nice. Y'all have my sympathy, truly...but it's never too late to change careers. At the ripe old age of 36, I am going to school for electrocardiography. Medical tech field=kickass job security. Usually.

Dang. usually, one would take an event like this as an opportunity to rail on stupid box-jockeys who have that indeed, silly blind spot for cyclists of all types...but you got hit by a motorcyclist...that's messed up. Here's to a speedy recovery, and remember...if the Vicodin starts making you sick, ask your doctor for some Phenergin (the generic is Promethazine) and take one of those about a half-hour before the Vicodin. It makes the upset stomach go away and feels like flying.

I'm starting a sweet high-paying contract this week to install a thousand fire alarms in some schools around here, and I had to get my sister to spot me the $90 it took to fill my tank so I could get to work for a week! It's ree-dickaless.

I swear I've seen the hook parts of the screen-accurate hook before. it seems to me that they're either brake handles from a bicycle or bottle openers or something. It's driving me nuts trying to think where I've seen them before.

Don't do it...they're a quantum leap backward in mileage from a 14 year old Ford Aspire or Ford Escort or any kind of Geo from a decade and a half ago...all those models listed average about 35mpg with the air conditioner running. Get a used one and what you may have to shell out in easy to replace parts you'll save at the pump, for sure. You have to believe there's something going on between the car companies and oil companies when they're marketing 28mpg as the best we can do, and those hideous, unsafe, and above all *expensive* smart cars get the same (or less) mileage that a regular compact car with a backseat got in 1992. Oh yeah...I got gas yesterday for my 99 Dodge Ram (full size, 21mpg{?!?!}) and I paid about 3.95 or so. $35 for a quarter tank.

Don't have my armor yet...my E-11 is about 75%. Fingers crossed, my headless FX and MRCE will be here by the end of the month, 4th of July, around then. I'll need to email the CO...I'm serious enough about this to work three jobs. Thanks for the advice.

So I'm quickly working towards 501st membership and FISD Elite and all, and I decided to take everyone's advice and contact my local garrison (North Texas Squad, Star Garrison) by signing up for the Star Garrison forums. It's been over a week with no activation, no response whatsoever. how long does this kind of thing usually take?

I'm 36, and still get carded all the time. Must've seen ANH in the theater ten or fifteen times. And ESB, and ROTJ. The only one I haven't seen on the big screen was AOTC, but it kinda sucked anyways.

The undersuits are like Space Bags...they put these baggy jumpsuits on over their clothes, then sucked all the air out of em and they fit like a dance glove...then put the armor on over that. When they got out of the compactor, they broke the seal and viola.
