  1. Not worth it. Build from a kit, it's a bit tricky but satisfying and looks a lot better.
  2. I'm using the same as 89batman. If you want the best and minimum bulk then that's the solution for you.
  3. While I'm the first to admit that I'm not an expert on ROTJ, I do think it looks good. Out of the few improvements I can think of you have already identified most of them. The only thing I don't see mentioned that I think could improve is to get the lower thighs slimmer to avoid the "barrel" look. I'm not sure how easy that is to do with overlap assembly, so I'm leaving the practical implementation to those more experienced with that kind of building. What is obvious though is that you sure look like a ROTJ trooper, and a good one.
  4. Or might bump in to people or object as you walk around. Like this:
  5. But unless you use two video cameras and two screens you'll loose stereoscopic sight and your depth perception.
  6. Well, here's the first full body picture I've seen, and while I wasn't involved in the final fitting of all the parts, it turned out pretty good I think.
  7. Most people buy their ESB decals from trooperbay.com but there are other makers as well that make even more accurate ones, although their production is in more limited numbers.
  8. Well done Chelsea! I'll second that the armour you bought from Bluey is top-shelf stuff and it would be very very hard to get anything better than that.
  9. True, as Phil says. It depends on which version you're intent on making. I was incorrectly assuming ANH.
  10. Hand painted details are allowed on all levels.
  11. Yes.

    Red Rain?

This might shine some light on your question: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7683&hl=%2Bred+%2Brain
  13. Nope, I had my helmet pre-built by Paul when I ordered my kit. Sounds like we should try to find that tutorial though.
  14. Yes. But only if you feel comfortable with that. I don't want you to risk "ruining" your helmet if the ears didn't turn out as you'd like.
  15. Yeah, the ears are the worst part!
  16. You're not going to be punished for trimming them thinner, but it can be nerve wrecking to some.
