The F.I.S.D is full of newcomers who have no idea what this is about .
Only a few regulars and site supporters really comprehend the enormity of these accusations.
That's why it's not getting noticed, and it's buried away in " recasters discussions" forum which no newbies care about .

No, it's not a rough pull, you are looking at material outsid e the mould parameters that needs to be trimmed off .
Simply put, more trimming is needed if those ears are ever going to fit . Nothing wrong with the plastic.

Yes it's all,one part, but like some other parts of your armour is based upon return of the Jedi armour , totally different from new hope armour .
The top and bottom halfs of the all in one piece line up differently on a new hope armour . Once the belt is in position it won't be obvious to the general, public .
Don't let it bother you , carry on enjoying your build .
-
So how do you do the return edges ? And what about the stomach / cod alignment ?
-
Dimple is front of left bicep . Check the movie reference photos .
Your armour appears to be return of the Jedi, not new hope , I'm not sure how you will achieve the new hope hero look you are going for .

I'm pretty sure that the mr no stripes look isn't acceptable for clearance with the UKG however ...just icase you were thinking it might be a nice way to sort out your tube stripe problems .

Bit of a pointless post without photos or information .

Sounds like you sent the wrong measurements to them , but they are a cool company to work with , give them a ring this week and chat to them about the issue. They will try to help .

Make the forearms fit your arms , that's my advice !

Wolfgang, are you subscribed to the RS Propmasters YouTube channel ? They have posted quite a few " how to build" videos recently .
Have a good look ...they cover building the biceps in great detail .

I looked there the other day and all the ones I seen weren't how it's. Just info videos. And just talking about armor.
Did you have your eyes shut at the time ?

Do you subscribe to RS Propmasters YouTube channel ? They are running a series of " how to " videos right now .

Yes it's a customer built RS helmet , with new style stand.
If you can repainted the tubestripes, and fettle the ear fitment , it will be a nice project .
But , it does need work to make it nice.
-
It's simple..leave the s trim until the end , after you have worn the helmet with neck seal and are happy with its fit.
Then remember to cut it half inch too long and force it on , so that its own tension holds it in place .
As to your build thread over on the U.K.G forum , no members can comment on your build except your allocated armourer , or other members of the tk armourers team .

A new hopearmor is under 2 mm thick in most places . A 3 d print isnt going to be strong enough .
your best bet is to buy armour from a reccomended supplier , and use the 3d printer to print the gun , there are plenty accurate patterns on thingiverse

Tk uk is awful...and most importantly, very inaccurate and a ton of work to make acceptable for the 591 st .
Think of it as a Halloween costume, not a trooping option .

The drop boxes can just be superglued to the dangling elastics. The attachment method is invisible when worn .
-
You need to check the c.r.l.
Ive not looked in a while, but I'm sure it specifies one ear black stripe to the rear of the ear , not front.
But I may be wrong .

Being seen in public minus the helmet is a huge No No . Don't do it .
-
Stormtrooper armour has moved along quite a bit since this helmet and armour were around . Unfortunately , I fear you are going to have to forget it and buy a complete new set up if you are planning 501 st membership .
Sorry to be brutal , sometimes it's just cruel to be kind .
-
sorry...nearly necroposted ...that'll teach me to be more observant !
-
Look, having built many RS armor, you are worrying about nothing . Get hold of the black elastic and tear it upwards away from the inside of the shoulder bell ...it will come away easily . Then re position it and glue it back with superglue. I have done it many times..it's so simple !!!! Even thinking about re stitching the snap is a stupid idea,
-
Remember, the RS is taken from a real screen used suit ... the curve of the backplate is screen accurate ...leave it that way .
i notice you mention re inforcing the shoulder bridges ...don't . They need to be as flexible as possible . Make them solid and they will snap . Check screen caps for glueing them on , from memory the 5th ridge sits on the edge of the chest...but check .

Take your time and buy the very best first off . Buy cheap/inaccurate =buy twice =money wasted .
You can leave buying boots until the end of the build , so order from imperial boots when they open the next run .
TM Troopermaster has recast CFO cast from original.
