  1. ATA pulls in black ABS upon request? That would be awesome! Thats one thing the USA is lacking; A US supplier that pullsscreen cast armor in black ABS. The only ABS supplier in the states is VT. As far as I know he only does white ABS.

Oh and by the way, great finish on that shoulder bell. I didn't know you could buff HIPS that glossy. How much work you got in that shoulderbell? I could see the more detailed areas like the dimples in the forearms being more of a pain.

And why are we still going on about recasting. All armor derived from TE armor is a recast. It doesn't matter. To try to figure out who's legit and who's not, is impossible and only leads to hipocrisy and bickering. Enjoy your armor no matter who made it. Afterall you bought it. Its yours, wear it and be proud to be a TK

  2. Looks great at first but the paint will yellow faster than the ABS. I've got a painted TE2 with GF. My GF is pristine white and its 9 years old. My painted TE2 is 2 years old and there is a striking difference in color. But GF plastic is different than AP's. I have AP drop boxes that are a year old and they are already showing slight signs of yellowing. Not as yellow as the paint on my TE2 but not as white as the GF parts. Think later down the line. Different armors yellow at different rates. Also the color difference is screen accurate. Personally for trooping armor I think it looks better not to mix ABS and Painted HIPS. Head to toe one or the other makes for a better 501st image in my opinion.

  3. the armor in question is an FX recast. The AM armor is greatly improved over the one you are looking at. Also the helmet is an older design and poorly recast which has resulted in making it look worse than the FX helmets currently offered by more reputable FX armorers like tupperwareTK.

  4. I'm 5'10" Then the boots add an inch and the helmet adds a few more. But the Mannequin its self is about 6'2", then add the boots and helmet and its 6'5" or so. It dwarfs me when I stand next to it. I have it positioned so that its got the "at the ready" look staring down anyone that enters my front door. Its always amusing to see the reaction of a first time visitor to my house :)

  5. So this is for just the required greeblies and not the whole blaster? Ive seen the complete blasters for sale before and at one point I was working on just the greeblies but I was never happy with my models and scrapped the plan. ESB greeblies by themselves to outfit existing blasters would be awesome!!!

  6. Actually a Gino bucket is far from an AP. Number one is the materials. The Gino helmet is pulled in HIPS 60 and will show MUCH MORE details than the ABS 80 helmet provided by AP. Secondly the AP is a more sanitized version which as far as accuracy goes places the Gino helmet head and shoulders above the AP. Dont get me wrong. AP's are great helmets and alot more durable than the Gino. Ones for trooping and the other is for putting on a shelf wink.gif

Not to mention the number of AP buckets in circulation vs the number of Gino Helmets.

  7. As of today the armor sells for $428.60 NOT including shipping. If your in the US, you can find a set of armor much cheaper blink.gif

You can find HIPS armor cheaper, not ABS as being sold in the subject auction. Cheapest ABS armor in the states is VT and it comes with a helmet and usually went for about $700 on ebay. Haven't seen his products on ebay lately though so I am unsure if he still sells.
