  1. I know there's a wealth of info on this site regarding the E-11, but I have a few specific questions and I need someone that knows them backwards and forwards to answer. Anyone know who is the most knowledgeable and would engage me in a private discussion! Thanks so much everyone Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I'd be more than happy to look at that thread, however… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you That's what I thought, but it's easier to remove more material, than try to add the it back on [emoji1303]
  4. I'm trimming my armor for Centurion level, and it states that there is to be no return edge. Do I trim it on the red line or the blue line? Thanks guys.
  5. Hey guys I painted quite a few hyperfirm blasters back in my day Back then we started with a base of semi-flat black and dry brushed krylon dull aluminum We also used brass on the scope We used an old t shirt with the paint sprayed onto it . We didn't use much paint and wiped most of the silver off of the shirt prior to rubbing it on the blaster . I also liked to use different blacks in different parts . The counter (smooth section ) and the grip would be gloss I'll have to dig around and see if I have some pics . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. You may wonder what happened to "slave1pilot" or why Nate wasn't on this forum for the past year. I posted a thread about it a year ago, but can't seem to find it now. Perhaps it has been deleted. anyway, I'll try and summarize it for anyone that's interested. I had a Disciplinary Hearing for Conduct Unbecoming a Trooper on the 501st Legion Forum. The harshest punishment available (if my Garrison voted for it) was a 2 year suspension. The vote ended July 15,2014 I received that full 2 year suspension effective immediately. I appealed the two year suspension as that basically meant an end to my membership in the Legion. After the appeal, I was told that I received a one year suspension with an additional one year probation period after that. What was the hearing all about? This isn't really the place for that kind of stuff,so I'll not drag you ALL through it. But, I will say that I did nothing illegal or criminal lest people get the wrong idea. I do thank you all for your friendships and allowing me to share my love of Star Wars Costuming with you over these last ten years. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back. Respectfully, Nathan Mutter "TK-439" "slave1pilot"
  8. I'm glad this MGC went to a good home. kudos to you Bondservant.
  9. Why don't you just ask Mark to make you an animated one? He made the first one, right? Mark made mine too, I just can't figure out how to attach it to this forum LOL
  10. Great Job Al! You do make us proud . 2 approvals in one day, MEPD and EIB. very nice. Now if he only had a Boba Fett costume...
  11. You guys did an awesome job. very well done indeed.
  12. Stutz. you measurements are very helpful. I carry my extra weight around my gut like a good post-middle-aged man should All of your measurements are really close to mine except the chest and gut. I have a 42 inch chest and we'll just not talk about the belly. I have no issue with "shimming" the sides, but that's not what I was referring to. I didn't want to add shims in between the thighs and such and then put a strip over the seam. I will add the strips of course but I didn't want it to be a 3 inch wide strip, ya know? I'm just gonna make it work. After all of my wheeling and dealing is done, I should be able to get the AP set for about $200 out of pocket. So, it's well worth the effort.
  13. Ugh. No thank you. I ask about the AP armor due to the possibility of me obtaining a set. I've been working some deals and doing painting work in exchange for the armor so... the AP armor is most likely what I will have. I just wanted to know if it would fit, not suggestion for other armor. Thanks anyway.
  14. That's what i was afraid of. There is no way on earth that I could lose 60 lbs. Nor would I even want to try. Thank you Your suit looks fantastic BTW
  15. I'm sure this has been covered countless times already, but I really can't find what I need to know. I'm 5'11 210 lbs at present I can lose the first 10 lbs no problem. The next 20 are very hard but not impossible. Am I wasting my time even trying? Can I make it work at 195 lbs without shimming and making it look like crap? Does anyone know the dimensions without shimming?
  16. working on it. I'll be a cross-dresser since I'm already MEPD
  17. slavefive is a member here, just pm him you are correct, the costumes are not 501st approved, they are for a FanFilm
  18. I have this on VHS It was free from Kellogs. You mailed in some boxtops or something and they sent it to you. Mine is Copyrighted 1995.
  19. Yes, I was one of those guys . That's me on the far right. here's the scoop; The armor is FX TK armor with TD abplates. The shoulder bells and helmet are original sculpts. The pauldrons are also custom "hard armor" Pauldrons. I am no longer part of the fanfilm project, so i cannot venture a guess as to it's status. slavefive is still involved, perhaps he could fill you guys in.
