  1. Finally some pictures to share of my progress! Trimmed, waiting for the rest to be ready Trimmed, fitted, ready for glueing Mostly trimmed, waiting for help fitting Not yet started Trying this by myself was not nearly as easy as it would have been with help. Shoulders kept falling off, and it took what felt like 5 minutes to pick each one up. Camera ran out of batteries right before I took the photos. I attempted to get up the stairs, but fell apart 3/4th of the way up. Retapped everything, and it stayed together long enough for a few pictures, the shin fell off during the 3rd, and it's impossible to put the shin back on, without taking everything else off. But it was well worth the hassle!
  2. I'll post pictures in a week, it hasn't really changed much - but next Sunday we're having an armor party! I'm so excited and can't wait
  3. I've made a lot of progress, and trying to start working on fitting, but I'm unsure how it's supposed to fit, so I'm trying to get an armor party in my local garrison area. I'm also trying to decide if I want to paint the inside of the helmet or not. There are a lot of threads about it, but I'm still not sure if I should or not.
  4. Oh. No, it's not like that at all. He's my brother.
  5. This is all I've accomplished thus far, Does it all look like it should? So, next part is trimming the sides of the arms, so I can put them together. As I understand the coverstrip should be 15mil across, so from the edge (green line) I measure about 8mil, and trim there (red line), right? Just making sure before I cut, because I can't undo it.
  6. That's a good story. I think you just can't bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight. You like me because I'm a scoundrel. There aren't enough scoundrels in your life.
  7. I sense something; a presence I've not felt since... Your powers are weak, old man.
  8. Too much under the sway of the Chancellor, he is. Much anger there is in him. Too much pride in his powers.
  9. I hear a new apprentice you have, Emperor. Or should I call you Darth Sidious?
  10. For a mechanic, you seem to do an excessive amount of thinking.
  11. "Greed can be a powerful ally..."
  12. First trim of the first piece. I trimmed it, then trimmed it again, and tried to smooth it out. It's still kinda rough. Should I sand it smooth on the edge, or what? Is this how it should look. Left forearm btw. I heard the forearms are the easiest place to start.
  13. Staring, drooling, anxious to start working on it, but scared to mess it up.
  14. My first set of armor, it's a TM Stunt kit. I plan on following Stukatrooper's build, and working with my local garrison for help too. And here are the pics, which is the reason your looking at this thread anyway The mailmen must not like these boxes very much, good thing Paul uses lots of bubble wrap. No cracks or problems with the armor.
  15. TM armor is in the mail!

  16. Happy Birthday, Paul.
  17. Kill tally? Don't we have to hit something first?
  18. Looks great! As expected from you two
  19. So, in the last three weeks, I've gained 3 pounds, now sitting at 130. Went swimming at a lake with a bunch of friends - when I took my shirt off instead of the comments I've gotten for years, about how skinny I was, and how girls wanted my waist, they told me how great my shoulders were looking. I need to eat more though, I've been slacking lately, and fell back into my habit of not eating much.
  20. thighs! They have such sexy curves!
  21. It's called Body Fortress, I really don't know much about it - but it's a whey protein powder, which sounds like what I need from looking online - I only started using it a few days ago. As for what else am I doing different - quite a lot, as the semester of college ended, and I have a lot more time. I was doing hapkido for an hour twice a week (college class), and running/walking a 7 mile trail (or half of it) when at least once a week, but not incredibly often because of finals - and all that jazz. Now, I'm spending a lot more time outdoors [which is much more fun than facebook games], running 3.5 miles every other day, and walking 7 the other days. Using the weight bench that has sat in the basement of my house and collected dust for years. Playing laser tag (outdoors - big park, so lots of running/sneaking/fun) once a week. Looking for another job, and lots of sleeping. And, working at eating - and drinking water. Of course hanging out with friends doing silly geek things, and bouncing around eagerly waiting for a big brown box, but facebook games have disappeared from my priority list. A few months ago I starting changing what I eat, less sugars, more whole grains, because I wanted to work on my body, other than having more energy, and wanting less sugar not much changed. Probably because I wasn't using the weight bench at all.
  22. I got back from my trip today, and visited the scale - up to 127 lbs now! (drinking more water, so that's probably a part of it) I'm trying one of the protein powders they had at walmart, hopefully that will help. I'm feeling better about me though
  23. I've been working on eating more, finally pushed it over the 2000 Calories/day mark, but I'm enjoying running - and have to find a way to get more food so I don't go backward. Any opinions on protein powders and such to help building muscle mass? The weight bench isn't nearly as much fun, but the right music seems to help a lot. I'm starting to get abs now (the body part - not white plastic) and my girlfriend is enjoying poking them I'm not sure how I'm doing on my weight goal, but I'm starting to feel a lot better about myself. I'll check the scale in 2 weeks when I get home - I'm currently on my girlfriend's farm.
  24. I hope this doesn't sound stupid, and I've been reluctant in posting this.. But I have the opposite problem and I'm going to work on it. At 5'8" and 115 lbs (yes I'm a guy) I'm incredibly skinny and it upsets me greatly. My goal weight is 140. I started taikwando and hapkido in August, which have helped a bunch already. I haven't had soda in over a year now. I chose an accurate size armor set for my first set, and will be getting it very shortly. But I don't want to look like I'm swimming in it, or cut it down so it fits and looks anorexic.
