Corbadda Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I was able to obtain this TE “Bumpy” HDPE stunt Stormtrooper helmet in October of 2008. It had been already been painted in the ESB style, however the eyes were left untrimmed and the 4th notch in the frown was left uncut so that it could be easily converted to an ANH style. As my favorite look of the Stormtrooper helmet is in the ESB style I decided to trim the eyes and cut out the 4th notch. I ended up stripping the helmet and repainting it myself. Then I was able to start adding the details such as the decals, lenses, padding, mic tips, rubber trim, etc. I was able to take some pictures yesterday so I thought I’d share some of them. And the interior: Specifications: Make: TE “Bumpy” HPDE Paint: Humbrol Gloss White (22), Humbrol Matt Black (33), Humbrol Dark Admiral Grey (5), Humbrol Gloss Black (21) Decals: TK-4510 Mic Tips: Keith Quote

trooper18938 Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Nice lid!! I'm happy to see that you replicated the lens attachment, and also got to get the 'tear dimples' to show from under the decals. Quote
Corbadda Posted December 23, 2009 Author Report Posted December 23, 2009 Thanks for the kind words guys! I tried my best to replicate the details as accurately as I could, both inside and out. I believe you are correct about the ESB frown. I think a majority of the helmets were painted as you describe, however the frown on the John Mollo ESB helmet looks more like how I did mine. Quote
