TK4205 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 FYI, we have a new customs form here in the US. It's a triplicate carbon form that must be filled out by hand. Even though it may take a little longer getting packages out due to paperwork, we will now have a better receipt when shipping international. I have 5 packages to the UK that are unaccounted for, all bearing the old customs form. Is the UK PO still on strike?? Quote
carbonitekid Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Is the UK PO still on strike?? Nope. It only ever goes on strike for 3~4 days at a time. Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 The latest round of strike action was held off indefinitely until the new year to make sure the xmas period was not disrupted. However i think we will see more strike action in the new year. I have lost a few items sent to me this year due to the rebel scum at RM Quote
TK-2126_MD[TK] Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Hmmmm well i guess that at the end the triple paper work would at least give some piece of mind for us intrenational guys but imagine haveing to do a run of Legion patches, key chains etc !!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
TK4205 Posted December 7, 2009 Author Report Posted December 7, 2009 We have delays in our mail from time to time, things get lost and damaged, but the USPS has never been on strike. Oh there was an uprising back in the 60's, but it didn't go on for very long. I send my local PO a goody basket every year for Christmas, so they take care of my address and make appointments for me to ship out mass mailings when small PO's don't usually do that. Quote

USPS though it has unions is federally run and mandated to only make x% profit a year (up form 0% profit requirement a few years ago.) thus making it hard for the unions to strike to make more money, which helps a lot.
