Madmartigan
I have mine hooked up to Stomper Hovi speakers. But I'm considering trying to stick the standard Rom/FX speaker in one of the "pecs" of the chest plate as an alternative to see if I get more volume. james007bond[TK]
You will find many people attach the speaker to the chest plate, but remember to have the speaker facing outwards... not like what I did once where the speaker was facing towards my body.... lol, no one could hear me... Another alternative is to have it attached to your belt... but note this is not creen accurate at all.......

Yeah, I remember that although atttaching it to the belt is the loudest especially if you change the standard speaker that comes with the Rom and a lot of guys paint the black speaker white so it blends in more and in my experience most people are so surprised that you actually talk they don't realise that the sound isn't coming from the helmet. The problem with the hovi's in my experience so far is that they don't have much volume so its difficult for the general public to hear what's being said. james007bond[TK]
Many UK guys use a Nokia car kit speaker. on the belt... small yet very loud. To tell you the truth I'm using the speaker supplied with the ROM and at the moment and I have it chest mounted... i think it's loud enough anyway... I do have launchpads hovi speakers but i'm waiting for Stomper to pull tgether 2 hovi sets for me..... It'a all good fun... hehe
