TK 5930 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Ok fellas, Im about to start my build! My first question is,Whats the best type of glue? I have a lowes and a home depot near me! I am going to start on the lid. My question is,the back seems to be larger than the front. where do i clamp it? It bows in one part when I clamp another. Is there a trick here? Quote
TomaToNOR[501st] Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I never used glue on my helmet. Nuts and bolts are all I needed, at least. Quote
Murray1134[501st] Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 He's right, on the helmet, not much glue is needed, if any at all. The only exception being some of the "guts" (lenses, frown mesh, etc.) and hot glue works good for that. However, when it comes to the suit I've had nothing but good experiences with E6000. Quote
Irishtrooper Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 i echo whats been said above, nuts and bolts then if you need to use glue - hot glue or E6000 Quote
Sonnenschein Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 i echo whats been said above, nuts and bolts then if you need to use glue - hot glue or E6000 You might find this tutorial TE2 stunt build up quite useful. NO GLUE for the helmet. K. Quote
Irishtrooper Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Yip as Karin quite rightly points out no glue if your putting in a sheet of Acetate for the lenses but if they are cut then you will prob need too, same with the frown mesh also, although i think a few have managed to put these into without it as well. I think Joey has his lenses in without using glue? Quote
