white zombie
Ordered mine off ebay also the other day, had a hard time tracking it down. Going to try it out with launchpads speakers. Maybe I'll get motivated and finish the rest of the mods on my MRCE and get my TK id soon!
TK-743[501st]
Would someone mind showing me exactly how you hook the Hovi speakers to one of these voice amp boards? Do you use the mini plug that came attached to the original speaker? Do you leave the mini plug connected, strip the wire off the original speaker and twist the hovi speaker wires to it? Hope that made sense, any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Be sure to insulate the solder joints from each other. I used shrink tubing. Ā Also be sure to isolate the back of the hovi speakers from the mic. I used some old film canisters to create a sealed chamber behind the hovi's. You will get better frequency response from the speakers and it will eliminate the feedback. See my earlier post in in this thread.

Merugear
LOL no I meant maybe some tweaks with capacitors or such cos personally it sounds a bit too soft still (or my voice too easy to be heard above the speaker).
TK6294
Here is the solution... Ā http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8256 Ā I know it is not cheap compared to the SmallTalk but you will get what you pay for...(without modification).
