Hello Folks,

My son had 3-D printed his own clone trooper helmet, but need to mount the range finder on the right side.

The finder needs to stay upright at 12 o'lclock when not in use and down around 3 o'clock eye level when extended.   Anyone have any suggestions on what parts to get or where to get them in order to lock the finder in these positions?  Using an ordinary bolt and nut won't hold them in place as they will keep rotating around.

Thanks.

You may have better luck over at the clonetrooper forum.

Personally I would look at a spring and ball bearing system, something like this, albeit just a ball bearing and spring will work, with two impressions in the base of the ears.

There are other systems out there with servos and cogs

Lots of kits out there also for electronics
