Well, hello there. My stepson is a huge SW fan and wants to be part of the Legion when he's old enough. But he's still got a few years to go. Are there any good options for him in the meantime? Are there workshops on costume building or any other activities for younger Troopers in training? His "first step into a larger world" was a Scout Trooper costume we did for Disney After Dark (template from Stormtroop Templates on Etsy.) And I've been Krennic at that event for two years now. Both times we've run into really nice Legion folks who were curious about us. The first was an Imperial Officer (pictured) and another was TK-98752, who was kind enough to give me a business card (which is how I discovered this forum.) I didn't even know about The Legion until that first encounter. Anyhow, I think he would THRIVE being around other enthusiasts and builders, but the age limit is clear, so I'm looking for ways to keep him engaged without breaking any rules. Thanks.

Hi Matt.

your costumes look great and it is awesome that your son is interested in joining when he is old enough.  For people under 18, there is the galactic academy which is also a recognized LFL costume group.

This link will show you where they have groups. Hopefully one is close to you.

Hello and welcome, Galactic Academy is definitely the place for the time being.

For legion membership (when he is old enough) here is some information https://www.501st.com/join.php

Also make sure his costume can base level of approval, you can find these in the CRL's (costume reference library) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRL

You may also like to find your local garrison, they may even have some events Galactic Academy members may be included https://www.501st.com/maps/imagemap-northamerica.php
