Also should mention (in case you haven't) rough up both surfaces with coarse sandpaper before applying glue to coverstrips, helps give the glue something to grip to. Looking good Yes thank you! I'll be sure to do that! I appreciate the reminder! Quote

Artooritoo[501st] Posted September 3, 2025 Author Report Posted September 3, 2025 Hey all! Back with some updates. Took a bit longer than I wanted to, but hey progress is progress right? So i'm going to jump around some. My apologies. For the Shoulder straps. I did the 3mm off the sides and just marked it. It looks correct to me and wanted to confirm before I cut. On the Back Piece, I went ahead and trimmed off the sides but left a consistent return edge on there. I think it looks pretty good. I cleaned up the expo marker after these pics. I also went ahead and trimmed the bottom in order to get it "more flat" so as to fit better with the kidney plate. Also went ahead and added inner strips to the biceps. I did no trimming to them. I need to boil them and reshape them, then I'll disassemble and size appropriately. Forearms are also fully assembled. Those I will boil and reshape slightly. shouldn't need much with those. Then after, I'll clean up the ends of the forearms, and add the cover strips! All the updates for now. I'm hoping to reshape this upcoming weekend. I'm also going to order the paint for the ab buttons tomorrow so hopefully that can get done this weekend as well. Thanks for reading!!! Quote

Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders. As seen in the images from screen used armor below, this ideally must be approximately 2 inches (48 mm) wide. Shoulder bridges For Level 2, no visible rivets are present. For Level 3, they shall free float in the back, be glued in the front and need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric/elastic chest/back connection. Ideally this strap should be 1/4 inch (5 mm) wide, and connect over the tab at the top of the back armor. The bridge should also lay flush against the back. NOTE: As seen in the photos below, there are no large tabs on the rear of the shoulder bridges. This is not specifically mentioned in the CRL, but removing them is highly recommended if possible.
