SuperTrooper Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Looks good for a first build. 2 minor tweaks I would try would be to shorten the drop box straps, and take a little off the bottom of the shoulder bells. Quote
TK-7980 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Report Posted October 29, 2008 The FX armor was a poor yet good choice for a first armor kit (for the simplicity). It's a shame it's like 40 sizes too large. I'm afraid of shortening the shoulder bells. Not the cutting part, but the finishing, making them look all clean and nice. Thanks for the tips! Quote
SuperTrooper Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I'm afraid of shortening the shoulder bells. Not the cutting part, but the finishing, making them look all clean and nice. That is what 400 and 800 grit sandpaper is for . Quote
TK-7980 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Report Posted October 29, 2008 I guess if I manage to do it right it won't ruin the shine. Know of any places that sell ABS polish other than ebay? Quote
SuperTrooper Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Just use the sandpaper on the edge not the surface. I get my Novus 2 from http://www.skygeek.com/. Cheap price and really cheap shipping. Quote
TK-7980 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Report Posted October 29, 2008 Okey dokey. Just worried I'll goof up in excitement and whatnot. thank you for all of your help! Quote
TN-TROOPER Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 turtle wax works great too for shine Quote
