Lukeluca
I finally pulled the trigger on a TK kit from MTK recently, and since it came in I've been starting with the helmet. I've been reading a lot, but feedback on my specific kit would always be appreciated. So, some specific questions: I've cut the brow to extend to the back of the trapezoids, this seems to be where it should end in all the references. If I align the "tubes" at the bottom of the front and back section, it seems like it's still too low on the wearer's right side. Is that the right way to align the pieces? I can tilt it more forward, but then the tubes kinda turn at the ear, how much of a turn is allowed? Do I need to hollow out the teeth more? I have them relatively squared off, but a couple don't quite extend to the ridges. 4 and 5 (counted from the left) look like they could use a fair amount of work on the bottom, but I don't want to overdo it. Any other feedback welcome too, it definitely seems like once I rivet the two pieces together, it will look much better, but that's a scary step to take! ;)
gmrhodes13[Staff]
Here are some great threads of info: Also a few really helpful helmet builds:
shashachu[TK]
Moved to build thread forum, as requested. I personally used pandatrooper's ATA helmet build thread to assemble my WTF helmet and I found it incredibly helpful. Re the teeth, it looks like you could trim them a touch more, but it could just be the photo angle. When you're trimming the teeth, focus on the shape of the teeth rather than the shape and size of the gaps in-between and it will become much clearer how much to trim.
Lukeluca
I looked at references images, watched all the videos I could find for similar builds (thanks @gmrhodes13!), and think I got pretty close. The ears were definitely a challenge, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. Feedback welcome.
