Darth Bendak Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I don't have money for a kit but I have access to everything I need including someone with experience to make my own armor. (msking revan armor soon) I was wondering if the 501st would accept very precise home-made resin armor? I really wasn't able to draw a conclusion from their requirements page. Quote
SuperTrooper Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Well fan sculpt is completely accepted, but resin would be very heavy and fragile. Quote
Runnriottt Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 You have to figure in the cost of making the molds, supplies and such... your going to end up with the same money as a bought set if not more. Mre than likely much more. Fiberglass would be better than resin, but still, heavy and brittle. Armor takes a beating trooping. Quote
TomG[501st] Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 If you will have money to create molds for complete resin/fibreglass armor, then you have money for TK kit Quote
