OutKast Posted August 5, 2018 Report Posted August 5, 2018 Hi. I'm going to set my ANH Stunt Stormtrooper thread off with a list of the items i'm definitely sourcing and some which i'm still deciding between. 1. A pre-built ANH Stunt Stormtrooper, in 2mm acrylic capped ABS from TrooperMaster. A definite, and one of the easiest choices i have ever made 2. E-11 ANH blaster - RS PropMasters, Shear Tech V3. DoopyDoo. Until yesterday a HyperFirm Elite was an option. Issues with shipping outside of the US put paid to that unfortunately. 3. Stormtrooper Boots - Tk Boots, Imperial Boots, CaBoots. Owned a pair of CaBoots previously. Leaning towards Imperial Boots at the moment. 4. Voice Amplifier - TRamp. A definite. 5. Neck seal and Balaclava. Quality items. Source unknown. I have plenty of irons in the fire at the moment, so there's the possibility of new options joining the list. Looking forward to everything coming together soon and being able to upload images. Soo looking forward to this... 1 Quote
CableGuy[TK] Posted August 5, 2018 Report Posted August 5, 2018 Nice list, Gav. And great to see that your threads are up and running. It gets more and more exciting from here!! I you fancy the building experience, I'd certainly recommend the Doopydoos route. You'll certainly get a more details blaster than rubber options, however it won't take dropping quite as well. However, I'm on 8 troops now and haven't seen a single blaster damaged as yet. If you do go for Doopys, check out Tino's competition set: RS Propmasters use Imperial Boots and I've heard good things about them. Regarding the neck seal, I'd check out ISD (Imperial Supply Depot) on facebook. Their neck seals are made to measure and very high quality. Balaclava - a lot of troopers that I've spoken with, and myself, use Under Armour (UA). One of their balaclavas is around £20, so probably double the cost of most generic ones on eBay, however, they are very well made, breathable and a lovely fit. Happy days, mate. 1 Quote
OutKast Posted August 5, 2018 Author Report Posted August 5, 2018 Thanks Dan mate. It was your thread on your DoopyDoo build that put the idea in my head. Outstanding work on the build The Imperial Boots seem to have a nicer texture and conformity to the uppers than the others, which i do like the idea of. Which is why they are my 1st choice. I will see if Rs Props could possibly supply me with a pair... It's good to be able to get a few more supply choices, i will look into them... Quote

OutKast Posted August 5, 2018 Author Report Posted August 5, 2018 I'm on the ISD Facebook page at the moment and see they also supply Imperial Boots. I'm firing a message off to them right now and cross fingers another part of the puzzle will fall into place ... Thanks again mate, Gav. 1 Quote
