godaiking Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Hi all! First time posting here, but I've been into Star Wars prop replicas for awhile. Anyhow, I own a AP suit (which I'm still in the process of making and ESB version out of) and have been doing some sharpening on some of the details (right now, the ridges on the shoulder armors) with an exacto knife and some sanding. Question is: should I sharpen the helmet eye bags, etc or should I just leave them? Here's a pic of my TK WIP mannequin: Edited February 13, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

godaiking Posted July 18, 2008 Author Report Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the kind comments guys. Here's what I've done to the shoulders. The one on the right is the one I tweaked. It's pretty suttle, but I like it: ----------- Edited February 13, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote

TK8776 jgarrettg Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Those look great. Did you make your own mannequins or did you buy them? Quote
godaiking Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) Thanks again for all the comments. I bought both mannequins off Ebay, but tweaked out both of them heavily. The Vader mannequin I used ALOT of insulation material to bulk him up to prowse size and fixed the hands (the right hand is able to hold a light saber....just need to buy a right one). The TK mannequin, I cut the arms to a gun holding position and the hands (just like Vaders) I customized to hold a blaster (a 5 lbs MR blaster no less). It was a lot of work and, honestly, I still need to fix both mannequins (never ending process). Anyhow, here's some pics of my AP I repainted (dubbed my ESB mk II): Edited February 13, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photos updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
