EVENT: Tricia the Jumbo 60th Birthday Party

 

LOCATION: Perth Zoo

 

DATE:29th January 2017

 

TIME: 9:30

 

LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Cloudy with Light Showers and a 25deg muggy day after a previous 40deg day

REPORT: All 501st members met at gate 5 at 9:30, soon after we made our way to a very nice conference room to suit up.

Once in costume we all headed out to be engulfed in many people wanting team photographs and selfies. We soon continued to take a long stroll around the entire zoo encountering more onlookers and many more photo opportunities.

 

As 11:30am approached we retreated back to our changing room and refreshed ourselves to head back out at 12:00 noon to meet the main star of the show Tricia the elephant who’s birthday it was at the ripe age of 60yrs. Tricia was presented with a fruit cake in the shape of the 60 figure.

 

Liz our Squad leader had the chance to personally hand Tricia the elephant a 501st birthday certificate from the whole squad and hand feed her with some food.

 

As Tricia was lead back to her enclosure the entire squad was lucky enough to get a photo opportunity with the birthday girl.

 

After we roamed the zoo grounds once again stopping for more photos and waving hello to some of the zoo's inhabitants.

 

We all then headed back to change and have some well deserved rest, food and refreshments.
