The tops of the shins don't have cut lines. Is there a certain return edge width required here? I presume there's no return edge on the bottom. Is this correct? Cricket[TK] Posted January 25, 2017 Report Share Posted January 25, 2017 (edited) The shins are identical. So it won't matter which half goes with which half. You'll want to remove all the return off the bottom of the shins. A wiser trooper than me, MoSc0ut, said this about the top of the shin returns: "1/4" is way too much return edge. Mine is somewhere between 3mm - 5mm, which is close to 1/4" but not quite, mine are closer to 3mm. Just enough to give the armor the "appearance" of thickness. If you leave 1/4" you will regret it after your first troop!" There was a good discussion about shin trimming over at EmlanThane's (Emma) build.
