ukswrath[Staff]
Hey Pat, sorry for the delay. Thank you for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. At this time Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Great job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'll discuss observations made by Sly and myself that are suggestions to improve the overall final look of your armor. These suggestions will not affect your application. We have a few areas that we think could use a little TLC. Shoulder bell to chest plate gap a bit excessive. We suggest removing most of the lower return return edge on the shoulder bells to bring them closer to the chest plate however, to be honest this armor is a bit small for you, especially in this area. Do what you can While you're at it we suggest raising your forearms a bit, as they should almost be touching the biceps. Raising the thighs or lowering the ab a bit. Raise the shins a bit to compensate for raising the thighs. The goal is to eliminate as much open area between armor sections as possible. Screen reference. Same for the ab to kidney gaps, though minimal, little to no gap is what were looking for. Reducing the upper kidney return edge should help this quite a bit, Centurion Suggestions: In this section Sly, myself or your fellow troopers may suggest required or recommended repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. Drop box to ammo belt alignment. The drop boxes are to be aligned with the outermost edge of the ammo belt. A slight drop box strap adjustment should do it. Reference photo Leg cover strips. The rear leg cover strip thickness is to be 20mm for the front and rear thighs, front shins, and 25mm for the calves. Looking at your images your appear to be almost double that. You seem to have plenty of space at the lower section of the thighs in which you could taper the cut to follow the contour of your legs. If the issue is not enough material between the two halves then you'll need to ad a shim, then install the correct size cover strip. We have a few larger troopers that have done this and it looks beautiful. In addition, besides the cover strips being too wide they should stop just below the upper return edge, and above the lower return edge. This will need to be addressed also. The calf cover strip width should be around 25mm as mentioned above. The length appears ok. Reference photos Great job. If you haven't done so already get out there and make the empire proud. Hope to see you at Centurion
