humperdingle Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Yes, my penny-pinching has started. I need to squirrel-away enough cash for my next stormtrooper outfit. But which one??Original Trilogy has always been my first obsession, but the Force Awakens 'troopers are pretty damn cool I suppose the time it takes me to save, will help me decide. I may even have to sell my old 60s mechanical one-arm bandit in order to afford it, but i'll get there Edited April 11, 2016 by humperdingle 1 Quote
zv288bot[TK] Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 Agreed, I just watched TFA again and must say those troopers are growing on me but with the release of Rogue One I think the OT style trooper is the way to go. Actually, what am I talking about, how can you go wrong with either. It's all Star Wars so it's all a win win in my book!
I feel you with the saving and selling of stuff. After 3 months on the wait list with ATA I switched gears and just paid in full on my AP kit which was a almost four hundred dollars more than I originally intended on spending or telling the wife! That was 3 snare drums and my ATA helmet to float the difference. You seem to have a bunch of patience, mine ran out at 3 months and I couldn't take it anymore.
Anyhow, good luck either way and May the patience be with you. Quote

It's a little easier when you already have an approved stormie standing in the corner But I have a couple of things to sell, which are not being used any more, so if I can shift them, all will be good for a second purchase 1 Quote
Jinsei[TK] Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 Well to be fair if you are saving up a TK, you will have to save a lot less for an OT the TFA. Since it is substantially "cheaper" you will have it that much faster. Quote

Jinsei[TK] Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Not sure would have to ask someone that has a FO TK. Just from the posts I've seen it sounds like it's substantially more expensive. You could pm Jimmiraquois on here and find out how much his kits are. Quote

Jinsei[TK] Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Good lord I don't think that's any cheaper....lol Quote

Jinsei[TK] Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 True, you do have an approved kit in the meantime so it's no rush. iirc from what Ive heard (and take this with a grain of salt as I don't know much on fett) lots of parts are hard to find and or long waits so it will give you lots of time to save.
