The Chief[TK] Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 My question is.....Can the latex handguards be velcroed to the gloves? I ask because since hardly anyone troops with those rubber gloves (as noticed from numerous posts on which gloves are best) one would need 2 sets. Although not really an issue but it seems 1 set would just be wasted on the rubber gloves. Also, I plan on purchasing a Shadowtrooper and having velcro on my gloves means just changing the color handguard associated with the armor. Any suggestions? Quote
Airborne Trooper[501st] Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) I suppose it's possible or gluing elastic straps. I have two sets personally. Edited March 7, 2016 by Airborne Trooper Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I do all my troops with rubber gloves. The trick is to use glove liners. Also, just get two sets of gloves and glue the guards on. Better to have two nice pairs than two poor. Quote
The Chief[TK] Posted March 7, 2016 Author Report Posted March 7, 2016 I guess 2 is better in the long run...but to me it just seems a waste to just let 1 sit on a pair of gloves that might not be used...just my opinion. It would be nice to just interchange. Wasn't sure if there were specific guidelines concerning how to affix them. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 You'll need two armours if you're going shadowtrooper and you'll probably store them in separate bins too. If you have separate pairs of gloves you don't risk finding out when you're already at the troop that you forgot the gloves with the other armour. Quote
The Chief[TK] Posted March 7, 2016 Author Report Posted March 7, 2016 So 2 it is...Now my question is....is it allowed? Can I still get level 2 or 3 with velcroed handguards? Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 So 2 it is...Now my question is....is it allowed? Can I still get level 2 or 3 with velcroed handguards? Level 2 yeah. 3, maybe. I guess it mainly depends on how good or bad it's looking. Gluing them on will always be your better option. It's not like you ever really need them to come off from the gloves anyway. Quote
