Troopacoola[TK]
Well, when measuring the shin for my fitment, the shin fit perfectly to my own leg, so I cut and assembled it. However, my foot won't pass through the opening. Any suggestions on how to fix this? You will have to open the rear a little and then close once on. TheLoneRanger[501st]
I went back and removed the interior cover strip. I put on an exterior cover strip over one side of the back so that when I install hooks, it will close. How does this look?

Trogdor[TK]
It does look good assuming it's the right shin. You may want to shorten the cover strip from the top to avoid sharp corners near the back of the knee. There is a number of pics in the reference section. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/873-anhlowerrightlegrearjpg/
TheLoneRanger[501st]
Thanks! Those pictures are most helpful. Looks like I did get the cover strip on the right side. TheLoneRanger[501st]
I've been looking at my shins, and I think I have two right shins. I assembled a shin and proclaimed it as being the right shin, but now I'm looking at the other two pieces, and I'm pretty sure these are the same. TheLoneRanger[501st]
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy. But I've also been working on my armor! Here's a picture of all the pieces I've assembled. (Though ignore the chest piece and abdomen, that's there for reference.) I still need to remove the return edge from the forearms. I keep forgetting.
TheLoneRanger[501st]
I worked on a thigh and assembled it. Fits like a dream.
TheLoneRanger[501st]
Update time! I have finished assembling all the limbs, and am now working on the fine details. So I'm going to work on the abdomen buttons, and I need to know... What do i trim off? I know the four side buttons need to have the sides trimmed off, but what about the plate buttons? Trogdor[TK]
Looking good your making good progress. I looked at these pictures http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/919-ab-plate-06jpg/

But ended up leaving more of the surrounding plastic for glue surface. The important thing is no overhang.

I hope that makes sense.
TheLoneRanger[501st]
It does, thanks!
TheLoneRanger[501st]
Apologies for the huge lapse in updates. I got busy working on it myself and forgot to update. All I can really say is that my armor's nearly done. I just need to do the shoulder bridges, attached the belt, and fix the helmet up. I also got approved as an AT-ST driver.
MrSnrub[501st]
you will want to remove all the return edge on the bottom of the shins or its going to scratch all the paint of your boots and not fit properly over your boot
