Someone yesterday asked what the Aurabesh in the Centurion badge said... Well, it's FISD.  And then today I saw the 501st Legion logo, and it says "Vader's Fist" in Aurabesh.  I noticed that FISD and FIST look and sound a lot a like.  Was "First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment"s acronym an intentional pun?  Calling us Vader's FISD?

 

Also, do you say "Fisd" as one word, or F. I. S. D?

I say it as F I S D....saying it all as one sounds weird

There is actually no official acronym and the proper name is "1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment". Not 'first' in letters.

That being said I also use FISD whenever applicable. But it's not the official acronym.
