For Some reason I've always imagined it as a blaster shot of super-concentrated light/laser, or some kind of plamsa. If it was that, wouldn't it spread out once it hit a person, or almost as soon as it entered the body, (that sounds awful). Much like the way a lead slug spreads out once entered the target. But maybe the armor would work if it wasn't a physical bolt, and the armor could absorb and spread out the incoming whatever. Either way, the armor doesn't work against slow-medium speed rocks. Quote
