Meerkat Trooper
I have purchased a ROM/FX from someone, but when I connect to the speaker it keeps repeating romfx romfx? Someone told me it does this when you have a flat or low battery? Is this correct or a more serious wiring fault? Thanks
Locitus[Admin]
Yes, that means the battery is low.
TK256[TK]
Yes indeed, as mentioned in the instructions, when the board keeps repeating the start-up sound it means the batteries are low and need to be replaced. The board is essentially rebooting in a loop as power drops, restarts etc. etc. Make sure you use good quality batteries like the Duracell Ultra or similar. Thanks, John Edited June 20, 2014 by TK256

Thanks, John John is the Rom/Fx man, so def listen to him! I had a similar problem, even with a brand new 9V. It was a normal one so it just wasn't enough juice. Once I bought the ones made for high drain devices it worked like a charm.
ukswrath[Staff]
Hey John sent you a message. Also I'm assuming this will work with Hovi mic tips?
