Naglium[501st] Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Just wondering what other people have done with their thigh and shin pieces? for my shins, ive glued them together on the front seam, and use velcro on the rear seam. that way i can open them up a little, and clamshell them around my legs.. ive done the same with the thighs, but since they are smaller at the bottem (knee) and larger at the top (waist) i was thinking about gluing both the front and rear seams... that way i can just slide them up like a pair of pants... any thoughts? I did glue my thighs shut, but test fit several times before you take the plunge and glue them shut. My theory is glue everything shut you can because you will have less armor malfunctions down the road. So far that statement is true in m experience. Quote

So far that statement is true in m experience. i agree... ive become such a non-fan of velcro.. i try to use as little of it as possible... i assembled my suit following the directions, with velcro everywhere. when i put it on for the first time, there was so much noise of the velcro coming apart, and back together again... since then i've been planning and scheeming how to remove as much of the velcro as possible, while still allowing my armor to stay assembled! Terry19D Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 I've done the same - glued the thighs completely together and used glue on the fronts and velcro on the back of the shin pieces. Like you I originally used velcro but grew to dislike it. However it did prove useful for testing out how the pieces fit and provided a guide for where to glue. Quote
