TheKido[501st] Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Hi! I bought an E-11 kit just recently and was thinking of assembling it with electronics. The only problem is that I know pretty much nothing on the subject. I "only" want a good blaster sound, a few LED lights and preferably to be able to play the SW theme. The arduino thing seems pretty complicated and have more things than I would like. My question is simply what other opportunities do I have? Could some one please lead me in the right direction or tell we how I would be able to create something like that? Any help would be much appreciated. //Adam Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) You might be able to use one of these for the sound. But for lights you're bound to run into more complicated solutions if you want more than just a simple flash. --------- Edited March 30, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
TheKido[501st] Posted November 1, 2013 Author Report Posted November 1, 2013 Have you personally tried this or do you know someone who has? Will it be possible to have both a short part of the march (50 sec) and than also have the blast sound so you can use both with only this one recording thingy and switch between them wit ha switch? Thanks for the help Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I have one of those yes. I haven't played around much with it. If you spend some time reading the page I linked you will find the FAQ Q1: What are the "Groups" in the software and how do I use them?A1: The groups are very powerful and make this product very much more ubiquitous. If you want to use the button to trigger different messages (up to 100), use the groups function. How? When you are programming the key with a .wav file, click on "2" in the "Group" column on the left of the software window. Now on line 1 under the "No." column, program your next .wav file. (NOTE: You can stack up to 200 .wav files in each group. These files will play consecutively when the group is triggered, back-to-back nonstop.) Go on to group 3 and continue programming as many messages as you like (within the 75 seconds). Now when you press the key, it will play group one. The next time you press the key, it will play group 2, and so on. Quote
swmand4 Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) If I ever get back to my sound and LED board (affectionately dubbed The Pew Pew Maker) and finish it, you'd have a ready-made solution you could drop into your blaster... Maybe it's time to revisit that project. Thanks for the inspiration! And good luck with your electronics. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23875-building-an-alternative-to-blastercore-e-11-soundled-board/ Edited November 1, 2013 by swmand4 Quote
