Redcoat TK3199 Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Good morning fellow troopers!!I havent posted here in quite a while, although i do lurk from time to time Anyway, I've been deep in the middle of building my second ATA kit (ABS) and was curious about the visible snaps placed on the butt plate and the right side of the ab plate. I was thinking about this method for a touch of screen accuracy but I am concerned about long term wear or damage if the snap is installed directly into the ABS. I was thinking about reinforcement on the inside..... Is this a consideration? cheers. Quote

But if you are afraid of cracks, you could use the CA-glue/T-shirt method. Take an old t-shirt, soak it with superglue and aplly it to the spot you want to reinforce. Look at the original armour in our gallery. They survived two movies, stunts, promotions, rough handling and rough storage for 30+ years and you won't see a single crack around the snaps or side rivets. Quote
