Neutronium Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Just wondering if anyone has tried a surface transducer instead of conventional speakers for their voice amp. For those who aren't sure what I am on about, a surface transducer can turn virtually any object into a speaker. If you google "surface transducer" there are plant of explanations of what they are. Was thinking of attaching one to the inside of my chest armour and turning that into my speaker for my ROMFX Wil Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 if you like being on vibrate when you talk you might like it. "gives a warm tingle feeling everytime the static burst goes off!" Quote
Billhag Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Yerrp, we have a couple of guys in the UKG with 'em and they work quite well. It all depends on the set up, Graham Robert-G4Tyrant as one on his BRILLIANT General Veers and its pretty loud with no distortion. Another guy as it on a TK and it's not so good, kindaa weak and muffled. They are two different units and makes, so there are some variables to take into account. I think it's a case of trying it out and playing around and seeing what works best. Edited February 9, 2013 by Billhag Quote
