gazmosis[501st] Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) I am ready to pull the trigger at removing my velcro and converting to the hooks and straps. My question is in suiting up. My calves are so form fit that if I am retaining water or ate too much salt the night before, the back of my left calf will not come together. On good day, it meets exactly with NO room to spare. Are the hooks easily....well...hooked with the calf on or are they hooked ahead of time and the foot slides in then your boot goes on? Pics would really help here!!!! Edited November 14, 2012 by gazmosis Quote
TK6287[TK] Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I have the hooks on my calves and I have to put the shins on first then hook them. If I hook them before then I don't have enough room to slide my foot through. Sorry but I don't have any pics at the moment. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 They have to be done after boots and leg are in. Since the hooks face inwards, you just simply pull the inner edge (where the hooks/straps are) up a bit and pull it over and the hooks (if aligned right) will almost fall into the holes as you set the edge down. It is really very painless to do and easy, even with very little room in the calves. The best part if you are using covers in the back is the cover is 25mm in the back, so you have more room for a gap. Quote
