FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Mathaius, listen. I'm only one person. The first person to be subjected to the proposed rule so far. This exercise is surely going to help you and make it easier for the future. You have passed Centaurion's in recent months with rivets in the middle of the thigh pack and some very odd corner curves. I agree not to follow other builds and I won't do it again. I accidentally made the mistake of checking other threads and seeing what I thought was acceptable. Thank you for your help and guidance so far. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Please point us to the centurions who passed with misplaced thigh rivets, I personally can't believe it. This is one of the things Mathias looks at first I think. There may have been threads that had misplaced thigh packs, but they were told to fix it in a later post and had to post a new photo showing it was fixed. Maybe the photo wasn't updated in post 1 but it was in later posts. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Also keep in mind that not all centurions were approved by me. After all, I've only been DO for less than a year. Yes, there may even have been the occasional centurion approved by me with incorrect rivet placement since this was never required and the person in question was unwilling to change it. During recent months I've seen seen enough of incorrect attachment that I've become more stringent about it to sort of "teach" people to do it correctly, since Centurion is what people look at to learn instead of doing the right thing and look at screen shots or archive photos. It wasn't long ago that there were no LFL archive pictures in public circulation. There were only a handful of people that had them, and they had paid quite a lot of money for their copies and were not allowed to share them with others. Nor was it very long since there were no blue-ray HD screen shots to look at, and no RS to release close up pictures of their original armour. Yet people STILL managed to get it right. I did it. At least to the best of my abilities as a newbie, which turned out to be just 2 quick mods away from Centurion when that was released. So please excuse me if I feel frustrated when people to the same mistakes over and over despite the references become better and better, and easier and easier to find. I'm working hard, and the whole FISD is working hard to make it easier to do things right and accurate. Quote
FunkyTrigger[TK] Posted October 9, 2012 Author Report Posted October 9, 2012 Hey Dday. I'm not prepared to single out any ones builds. Sorry. There are not too many to look through if you fancy it. You are excused by me. I'm sorry I made a ... How do you call it "A chicken out of a feather" I think I was frustrated that I made a mistake. Anyway... Moving on, I have fully kitted up today and had photos taken, so I will update my WIP soon. Quote
