arbilest
I was curious if the 501st ehen they inspect armor. Do the take in account what is place inside the helmet. I see many videos of people who add all sorts of crazy goodies inside. This also includes fans eith piping. Microphones. And motorcycle padding? Darth Hilarious
501st standards apply only to the outward apperance and construction of a kit. If you can get a Jacuzzi, a barfridge and a plasma screen or two in there, more power to you.
Mongoose[TK]
As far as I know as long as the outside looks okay you can put whatever you want in the inside. Fans, microphones, padding, etc. As long as the outside is in line with the CRL's all is good.
Darth Hilarious
The one BIG no-no is visible lights in the bucket, but again. that's an outward appearance thing.
bigironvault
Once most 501st members achieve a level of approvable detail of their costume, most of the time after is spent making the costume more "troopable" - fans, mics, etc. Afterall the point of the 501st is to troop and not just a costume for Halloween.
