kit molding

Recommended Posts

Hey Stephen,

When you are saying mold your own trooper armor, you do mean sculpting and not pouring something over someone's TK armor (like ATA, TM, CFO etc) (recasting) Cause recasting is a BIG.. BIG.. no, no.. and you do not want to go down that road ;)

If you are wanting to sculpt your own molds, then there is a few ways people have done this:

Modeling clay is the usual medium. If you are wanting it to be very nice and pro quality, then plasticine is what true sculpting pros use.

Cheaper routes are Bondo, wood (carving), and cheaper clays.

Then you will have make casting of your sculpted parts for thermoforming the plastic armor pieces....

But understand you can be some dollars out of your pocket. (if done well) People have spent $1000s and $1000s and years doing this, so be prepared

Tom

Read this thread, some of the questions you have are already answered in it. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19914

Also, please don't post a new thread in the How To section after I had already moved your previous thread on the same subject to the appropriate section.
