TK-Fett[TK]
Hy guys I'm workin on to helmet kits and the recessed section for themic tips is pretty thin? What's a good way to reinforce that? Would a coating of bondo do it or perhaps fiberglass? Thanks
rhapsodyred99[TK]
I soaked some fiberglass cloth in 5 min epoxy and formed it around the inside. I used to fly RC planes and had a roll of the fiberglass cloth they use to reincforce the join between the two wings. I figured if it held them it would hold Hovis. It has worked really well on my old TE helmet (been holding since the mid 2000's). I plan on doing the same thing to my RS pvc once I get to that point. bobojuice
With my old HIPS bucket, I just globbed some bondo on top of them then drilled them out after they solidified.
