DLT-19 Ammo box/mag feed cover

Can anyone advise the dimensions of the box that goes on the left side of the DLT-19 ? I need to attach this to my Doopy before painting & weathering.

Should it be against the gun by the long side

 

 

or the flat ?

 

 

 

Also what is the best wire to use for the fins ?

Long side is the right side.

 

Any wire will do. But you might not want it too flimsy.

Thanks. I am trying to decide how to affix it. Someone recommended some no more nails tape:---------

or would epoxy / E6000 be better ?

I bought some track for a screen door and cut it down for the T-tracks. You should be able to find it at a home improvement store (not sure if ya'll have Home Depot/Lowes over the pond ).
